Those covers look like dyed blue camel bone too Rev, am I right? ::shrug:: Not my style of knife, but there's no mistaking how nice the covers look! 8)
I don't know if these are camel bone or bovine. I bought it a week ago at the annual Bear & Son factory sale. It is a factory second, though the blemishes are small, and hopefully I can repair it with minimal effort.
If it had half as many blades, it might be closer to your style!
::rotflol:: Exactly! 8)

Those are some beautiful knives Jerry. Those last two really catch my attention. Look like they would make a great EDC. That Buck Bantam is such a nice play on the Stars and Stripes, it’s very well done.

Thanks Mark. I'm a sucker for anything with the Stars & Bars on it & those MTechs have all been excellent with the exception of one. You should consider putting some in your inventory.

This is the rotten apple in the basket. The blade locking mechanism is ground improperly and it doesn't lock up when opened. ::td::

Man, I like that top one Jerry. That blade etching puts that one over the top.

I hear that Mark. It looks as good in hand as it does in the picture. ::tu::

It makes some of the others in the pile look like the ugly step-sisters.
(Lower Left - it doesn't shine in the picture like it does in person)

Good looking Spydie Q, the black blade goes great with brown or blue scales. Very nice. Congrats on a good score.

Glad you approve Marco, it's a grail knife to me for sure, the maker is Tim Britton out of N. Carolina, he makes a few at a time of his patterns that you can see at timbritton.com, but every one is pretty much a one-of-a-kind so no two scales will be the same. He made two that he showed me, one with brown Mammoth molar and one with blue Mammoth tusk. I took the blue. If he doesn't have one you like, he will take a couple weeks and make a few more to choose from. Really a nice guy and reasonable prices for custom work like he does and to me they are some of the coolest knives around. Can't say enough good about his knives and service. Thanks again. Check him out.

Thanks for the information buddy, I'll check out Tim's site. 8) EDIT: I was just at Tim's site and he has some gorgeous designs for his knives, and his prices are more reasonable than I'd thought they'd be. Time to start saving up! 8)

This is a Wendell Carson “mink” muskrat. The blue on this is almost a turquoise in color. Everything I read about Wendell’s work is true. The fit and finish is excellent. There is a topic here on AAPK about his knives. Wendell used components from Queen and a few other knife manufacturers and hand finished them all. He used some unique handle materials. This one says on the tang stamp “mink” genuine bone USA”. Not sure that is a reference to the actual bone material or just the name of the pattern he gave it. I wouldn’t assume it’s made of mink bone. It’s a very unique color and jigging.

I was just viewing it in your store Mark, but these pictures are larger so we can see the detail better. This knife is about as far off from what I usually accumulate, but there's no denying that beautiful unique coloring. Very nice bud! 8)
