Not my thing either but if I ran across one and could afford it, it would go home with me, absolutely gorgeous knife. ::tu:: x1000.

Big H: If I revealed what I paid for it they'd swear I was lying. I almost never say because it looks like bragging. I find my stuff in little shops that are more into lamps and dished and don't really bother too much with knives. Aside from the gas it costs me they're usually well priced, a whole lots less than e-bay.
I've had a few offers for it but I'm going to enjoy it for a while. J.O'.

Some new Queens I picked up from an estate sale. I am including an S&M in the pile, for association ::paranoid:: purposes only...and a possible Queen stockman maybe... ::shrug::

Here are a couple of "stockmen" I picked up pictured together. The bone handle looks like it might be a Queen. It looks like maybe the bone is not original. I don't see any markings on it, so I'll leave it up to the experts.... ::paranoid:: .... ::shrug:: ....anyone out there have an idea? ::paranoid:: Could it be a Queen?

GSPTOPDOG,
I would almost bet the farm that the knife is a Queen made in the '61-'71 era, no tang stamps. It certainly looks like well-worn Winterbottom handles. If we had a closed length might come up with a pattern number.
Her's a picture of one of my EDCs, a #49 well-worn Winterbottom jigged bone handle that has lost all the original color, very similar to yours. :)

I used to have a lot of luck finding great knives and sweet prices in little shops... but now everyone in those shops seems to be looking everything up on-line and coming up with their own "e-bay-size" prices... :x

Thanks Treefarmer! ::handshake:: Thats what I was thinking... there might be only an etching on the blade, long faded, as Queen was not using tang stamp for that period (at least on some knives). ... as I recall... ::hmm:: I will try and post a closed length picture.

Looks close to a #98 pattern hunting knife, but those should have a 4 inch blade. The profile is not quite exact, maybe it has been sharpened down a lot and reprofiled?

For any Queen collectors, I posted the new updated Queen Tang Guide with revised info and additions. It is in the sticky thread under the Q&A subforum.
