Since this was resurrected I figured I should post a picture of me that I used on my website and the shop's "killer" guard dog that will be unleashed on anyone too cruel with the old man jokes....

Now that's to funny.......................I'll bet he spends a great deal of his time in that window!

The fire engine belongs to the company.It was a plant firetruck at the Melrose Park, Il. engine plant. It is in parades in Oh, Il, and In. It was restored by volenteers on thier own time [two and a half years] It is shared between the Warrenville, Il. headquarters and the Springfield,Oh. plant where I work. Here are some better pics, It wears its age better than I do, but I have not had any restoration. PS the man in the picture put in hundreds of donated hours, and was kind enough to let me and my little girl play with it in the parking lot.

Thanks for the fire truck pics. Some of us never outgrow the facination with those red fire engines. I am one of them. The department I used to serve with restored an old truck very similar to the one in your pictures. They too use it for parades only, but it sure is fun to ride in.

Usually I'm very surprised to see what someone looks like because most of the time they look so different from what I had imagined. In your case that is not true. You look very much like I had envisioned except you look to be about 15 years younger than I had expected. But then, when I realized you had worked for the postal service, it dawned on me you got to retire earlier than I'll get to. Take care of that big bad watch dog. Fun picture. I got a big chuckle out of it.

The wife and I were on our very first cruise, to the Bahamas. It was a free cruise through one of the distributors we work with.

We rode wave runners, and played with the dolphins. The "scenery" wasn't bad either...

Orvet, you have a fine looking grandson there! He must have took his looks after his Grandmother. I have no way of posting a picture but I look a little similar to you. A little more hair on the top, not as much grey in the mustache, tattoo in same place but on the left arm, and I only wear my glasses when I work on something (it's amazing at the work I can get out of if I hide them real good where the wife can't find them). Now you didn't show your self taking a bite of food so I don't know if you wear your tooth to eat or not. I keep my tooth in a jar until I have to eat hard candy or something like that. I don't want to wear it out, 4 more payments and they baby is all mine.

She was gettin bored with my less than satisfactory camera operating. She was raised is Southern MO and she understands a LOT. She can even skin a squirrel without gettin any hair on the meat. Baits her own hook and cleans the fish too. WHAT A GAL!!

As for the bike? That looks like a pan head. It's a 93" S&S motor with pan style STD heads. They have the BIG shovel valves and shovel style intakes. Got an generator right case and alternator left case so later model shovel junk will bolt up easier. I'm shooting for 450lbs and 100 to 110 HP.

Can you say MURDERCYCLE?
