I have kicked my ebay addiction, but had a small slip and got a bull dog doctors knife, did not have one of those yet,will post in the new purchase thread, soon as I get a photo

This is one Dale gifted to me several years ago. I believe it may have originally had a pen secondary blade and the bail is missing but look at that bone. I think it's just gorgeous.

It's raining here in the flatlands, so I went out and found my one and only easy opener and took a pic or two. It's a old Remington, R1673CH, black jig bone with two blades. All steel construction, no chain or bail though. I got it in a box of knives I bought at a auction a few years ago. Not too bad a find, I like the old stuff. AS ALWAYS, TERRY

I had to dig out a few. Nothing mint, but all good old examples and a few duplicates with little differences. Top left, Ulster Knife Co., Schrade, H.Boker, Utica (arched stamp), Imperial, Imperial, Imperial, Bottom right; Cam.(4 line), Pal Blade Co., Robeson(straight Stamp), Robeson (arched stamp), Cam. 3 line, Hartford Cut. Co.

That Lafayette Cut. Co. has the same style blade stamp as my Germania

I recently bought this Pal Blade Co. easy open jack, also known as the U.S. Navy general utility knife. I have a number of these knives made by Camillus, Schrade Cut Co, Imperial & Pal Blade Co. Of all the knives I noticed that the Pal Blade Co knives tend to have the softest tangs. If not oiled the tangs will quickly wear down.

When I picked this knife up the first thing I noticed was how sharp and crisp the jigging on the bone is. This knife doesn’t appear to ever have been inside of a pocket, the jigging on the bone is not worn down at all. The second thing I noticed about this knife is the snap on both blades; both blades make audible stamps upon opening to half stop, opening fully and upon closing. It’s like holding a miniature bear trap in your hands! I’m sure glad that these don’t have a Kershaw sharp edge on them, or I would’ve lost a finger the first time I opened it. It’s almost like Great Eastern Cutlery made this knife. Because of the hard snap I will not keep this knife. It’s currently in my AAPK store.

I believe this knife still has the factory edge; it does not appear to have been used or sharpened. Normally when you find these knives they have been used and worn down, however this one appears to have the full blade. I have never seen a Pal was such a full blade before.

Old thread I figured I would wake up with this one - bought it many moons ago but noticed I never got any photos so sharing it now....

LF&C Easy Opener - 3 & 5/8" closed - Ebony handles which for LF&C is more the rarity - every old catalog of LF&C clearly showed 2X as many black compo handled or celluloid knives than any done in wood or MOP - in fact not sure I ever saw a LF&C with jigged bone nor stag... One thing I will say about this knife is it is one solid hefty knife with surprisingly (as least to me) definite weight to it for a jack this size ..

Lee I'm not sure I've seen a jigged bone or stag LF&C either.
