This one is real old and pretty rare I would say...............Disston X Cut (crosscut).
Half stops and good snap on all blades and some sweet old ebony scales!

Although I don't know the exact age, I would guess this knife to be of early 1900's vintage. It's a Henry Sears & Son, 1865 ( tang stamp ) Jack. Blades show very little use at all. Great snap and half stop. I would guess the wood handles to be cocabola, with a couple of bumps in them, but nothing to take any of the quality away from the knife. It's a nice Jack Knife. Bull

Here's an old one, but I'm not sure to call it rare. A Wostenholm I * XL " Celebrated " equal end jack. The spear blade has I*XL etched on it and sharpen's, wicked sharp. Good strong snap. The clip blade was obviously used more and not near as strng snap, but still a very workable jack knife. Ebony handles with nickel silver bolsters and brass liners. Bull

According to Bernard Levine, Valley Forge Cutlery was in Newark NJ circa 1892-1899 and apparently their stamp was as seen on the knife listed above. Boker USA owned the stamp from 1899-1950 and the stamp changed to Valley Forge/VF(in a circle) during this time and coninued being made out in Newark NJ.

Don't know if this is old or rare, I have never seen one before. I thought it has a rather odd blade make up,
All three are stamped NATIONAL OVER CUTLERY OVER WORKS. Looks like it may be from Germany, no country of origin on it. As you can see a Spear for 1 a sheepsfoot for 2 and a punch for the third. A nice handfull at near four inches closed. Even the punch has the long nail nickAll three blades have a false edge on top.

Top is a National Cutlery Works which I beleive is an English maker;nextnext is marked:Prolific H B&Sons Sheffield and third is Alfred &Sons Celebrated Cutlery.
Second pic is 3 Empire knives:A pearl with sterling bolsters(has it's original pouch too);a stag pen unsharpened;and an ebony wharncliffe.

Advertising or gift knife for sure, but I have been unable to find anything out more than that. I have posted in 1 or 2 other threads, but seemed germaine to the knife that you just posted.

Case Tested PB91050 "push button". Cool knife. What year or era do you think your knife is?

Here is a nice old rare one. 1906 Tuna Valley (Case Bros) pearl ladies knife. Roughly 600 produced, and I'm told one of the rarest Case knives ever produced. This is my grandfathers.

PA Knives, that is a fantastic scimitar steak knife. At 17 inches, that would handle a Big piece of meat! philco is right, it is in remarkable condition.

Well, it still is my grandfathers. He currently has it for sale, but if it doesn't sell within the next 10-20 years, I may get it.

Certainly not the prettiest knife I own but when one learns the history of an original Friedman & Lauterjung you can appreciate it even more. I love old knives with character. I scored this old girl on eBay for a whopping $3.00. Yup theres still deals to be found if you look
