This one is very early, has a stamped blade and nicely aged stag handles.

Just noticed I never posted my Case 61011 trio- 2 XX era and 1 Tested. The worm grooved green bone on the Tested pruner is amazing.

Great name in horticulture Dave. That knife is probably in Leonard's catalogs at the Biodiversity Library link below..This is an amazing source of horticultural information, lots of catalogs, mostly seed and plants, but some of the larger firms sold knives.
Like the Peter Henderson farmers jack I have, which is shown here:

Here's the link for the Biodiversity library, where I found that catalog:

Some really great knives shown within this thread.
Here is a fairly rare automatic model by Flylock with a corresponding ad which reads "Flylock knife for the nurserymen, linesmen and linoleum cutters". Flylock had a pretty short run of barely over ten years from 1918 to 1929.

I agree. I don't recall ever seeing one like it. Congratulations on owning that one.

Outstanding piece Mason , I`d not seen that ad before

here`s some similar , they were to be "paratrooper knives" but not accepted,..... would make good pruning / linoleum cutters

but will remain cased.

Couple new additions, Wostenholm I*XL and Wade&Butcher XCD, the Wade&Butcher is not marked England so maybe pre 1890, unfortunately has been well used with little snap and some blade droop.

The old stag on those two knives is amazing.
