By any chance is there anything stamped on the inside of the liners on that Ibberson?

I posted a pic of a display case with Robeson pearl handled knives earlier in this thread. I think I'll post some of the knives in detail.

Tell me when to stop.

Charlie, are you thinking what I'm thinking.......could be a SS stamp for Stan Shaw?

Also, Charlie, what a beautiful collection of Robeson pearls.
Outstanding!

Well. I was going to post some four blades, but I can't tell if MB's little emoticon is saying, "Enough! Enough!" or something else.

Yes, KNut, whenever I see a nice Ibberson, especially one with fancily (is that a word?) file worked backsprings and blade backs, I think Stan Shaw. That is not the usually recognizable Shaw file work, though.

 Charlie, the little emoticon is saying I bow down to you, in other words what a great collection of pearl handle knives ::drool::

I am going to throw all mine out ::nod:: , maybe when I put in that new concrete walkway this spring I will use them as fill ::idea::

Please bring on the four bladed pearls ::tu:: 8) :D

MB, that's what I thought, but those eyes made it a little questionable. I was only joking.

So, some four blade and one six blade Robeson pearl handled knives. I suspect these are examples of the finest knives Robeson ever made. They are really premium quality pocketknives. We love those big bone handled working man's knives so much, these little vest pocket gems tend to fall into a second or third class status. I personally think they are deserving of a great deal of respect, both for the knife and the men that made them.

MB, the question we had about the master blade on this first knife is not a problem. It's the original blade.

These photos can be enlarged twice, if you want a really close-up look.

That`s good news Charlie :D

The knife is in remarkable condition and to have the box and guarantee is a real bonus ::nod::

I agree, the knife companies did not charge a premium for these back in the day for nothing. Only the best cutlers built these beauties ::drool::

Thanks for showing them Charlie ::tu::

Thanks, everyone.

MB, that is a nice knife. I never really understood a pearl handled stockman or cattle knife, but I like em!
