I sure do. I've bought another pouch for it also and I think I've got a set of lineman's pliers around here somewhere.

Dale, what is the OAL and the blade length on your knife?

Blade length is 3-7/8"
OAL is 7-1/2"

Same measurements as the one I have.

In the company records they list a knife similar to this one but the blade lengths are always 5", no mention of a 3 7/8" blade on the military issue knives

Dimitri's nice Tip Top reminded me of this one, I don't think I have posted it before.
It is a bit more used up than Dimitri's, but for 70 or so years old, it is not too bad.
It is interesting that both this one and the one Dimitri posted are spear blades.
I seem to see more with a clip blade than the spear blades.

Has that been true from what you guys have observed?

I believe you are right about finding more of the
Tip Tops to be the clip blade but ive found that
the clips are more often pretty beat and used pretty hard imo
The clip is a Camillus 4 line

the 2 spear blades are Sword Brand with 4 line on back of main
1 is sawcut ebony
1 is sawcut bone

Some of the clip blade Tip Tops have been badly used up!

Two of the latest I've aquired.

TL-29 - four-line stamp, rosewood/cocobolo handles, brass frame and liners, nickel-silver shield, bolsters and lanyard ring/bale. Very pretty little sleeve-board - Sword Brand w/four-line stamp. The interesting part about this knife is the handle material. Though I know in my mind that they are probably celluloid they just don't remind me of that material. Each time I look at the handles I want to call them either fossilized ivory or petrified wood. Don't know for sure which they are but they sure are nice.

They do look like wood, but celluloid was so versatile it can look like most anything.
Check it with a high powered magnifier & see if you can see grain or pores in it.
If it is smooth except for dings, I would have to go with celluloid.

Beautiful handles though!

I know that you are correct Dale, about the celluloid. The handles are very interesting and are a 9++ out of 10 on condition, no deterioration and dings that can only be seen with magnification. Somehow these very thin slabs have weathered the storms of time.

Thanks Trav, it is a very nice TL-29, doesn't appear to have ever been used. Really like that Jack, my favorite pattern and what's not to love about dem bone handles
