I don`t know if you noticed, this one has all steel construction, bail, liners, pins and bolsters.

The only thing not steel is the center pin, it is nickle silver. Because of this I would date it to the war years or very shortly after, no later than 1946.

It is rather unusual, it is a Richards shell handle Sea Scout Knife.

I have seen these many times but never with a stamped blade that reads "Scout Knife"

Camillus Sword Brand and PAL scout knives...I still have my Ulster scout knife from when I was a Boy Scout over 40 years ago.

Great knives. This Utica has a spiral punch instead of the stamped punch found on most. The handles are bone.

I have a Camillus Sword Brand with the same punch blade, in fact all the blades are identical to your knife.

Has a "Camp" shield, only difference is it has a removable bail.

Here is an old ulster I picked up.

Here is one that is getting hard to find. It's not that old and it makes a great worker.

An Ulster Knife Co. #1502, just the way I like `em.

Fresh to the market all original patina

not a US product but designed as scout knife : it's an aitor (spanish trademark)

MB that is an excellent example of the Ulster 1502.

Of all the official scout knives I think the 1502 and the Remington RS3333 are my two favorites.

OK Dimitri I guess you have shamed me into gettin off my duff and posting a couple of pics.
Here are two I have recently acquired:

The first one is an Imperial five blade official Boy Scout knife with faux wood (plastic)handles. It does have a couple of cracks in the handles but I was still glad to get it after searching ebay for well over a year since sighting the last one. These knives were only produced for a couple of years c.1962-1963 according to Ed Holbrook's book "Official Scout Blades".

The second one is a sweet near mint four line Camillus scout that my friend Ozzie Marie kindly brought to my attention just before the listing ended a couple of weeks ago on ebay. Thanks Oz.

I'll try to dig around and see if I can find anything else of interest to add in the near future.

That is about as close as my camera and very limited photography skills can get, but if you will click on the picture it will blow up to reveal lots of detail.

I have a couple of the wooden handled version of that knife myself but that plastic one was a hard one to locate.

I believe that Imperial has strata-wood handles (or maybe simulated wood handles according to Holbrook). There was also an Imperial made with rosewood handles but it had a different scout shield. Both are very nice IMHO as I love wood as much as I love bone handles.
