Well sugar booger. This Queen Wharncliffe came today (along with a pile of mail for the fella that lives one block over) and I discovered I had already picked one up back in April of 2022.

At least I got this one about $1.00 cheaper.

Probably because the shield fell out & had to be glued back in.

Like that NRA, Woodwalker! I think that’s the same one I have on the way!
Thanks Tim! You will like it, I believe. Very solid knife.

Well not knives but a guy did carry 2 Remington 870s in my shop today and after a little negotiations I end up with a 870 Wingmaster 12ga. Field 1959 year, 30” barrel and a very nice 20ga Wingmaster LW Vent Rib Magnum 28” barrel ….

Nice rifles Jamie. Being Canadian and having never been exposed to guns I know very little about them, other than they look great and they DO NOT kill people, people kill people.

Yes those two I was talking about are shotguns but you are right about guns they can’t do anything by themselves

I picked up a couple Henry’s and both are H001 basic 22LR and also had a guy bring in a golden big boy 44mag last week that I was able to get from him, not the one in the box its just the basic 22Lr

Mailman was kind today, first he found my mailbox, that seems to be a 4 out 5 days they do find it...the other days we have to run up and down my road exchanging mail...but they normally do get the right road. The first is the most meaning one, Mr. Trowbridge's fine gift arrived today and I'm beyond impressed by this Schrade 34OT, the pictures dont do it justice thank you glennbad....
The second knife the postal service decided to drop in the box is a Parker USA that was I guess sold through Walmart for $19.93, I fished him out of the Bay, and I'm glad that the seller left the old Walmart tag on it...

That Schrade is a gorgeous one, Jamie. And a nice old Parker in very good condition.
Received my Michael Prater Custom today. I'm so very pleased with this beauty. Mr. Prater does fantastic work. I took some quick shots a bit ago while I still had natural lighting.
Thanks for looking.

LJ, I think a knife like yours is a lot of fun meaning that I think every collection ought to have a bit of bling no matter how conservative the collector. Knives such as this add life and color not only to one's collection but to the hobby in general. Once in a while we need a knife that soars like Mr. Prater's

Garry, I couldn't agree more with your sentiment. Like many of us this year, I've sold more of my collection than I've purchased; however, when I see a knife that makes my eyes bug out, like this one, I tend to pull the trigger on it. I'm glad I did. Another one I purchased recently is the one Dale did. That one too caught my eye and thought; what an awesome job Dale did on that one. Dale's Schrade 153UH is on my computer desk mantel as we speak. It was too nice to 'hide away'.
Thanks for your comments.

Looks even better in this thread than the other bud. Miles away from my style, but I still appreciate a beautiful knife no matter what it is. Glenn did a fine job and you're a lucky guy! Love the little Parker as well, even if it does have 1 blade too many!

That is one gorgeous knife Ken! I love that is has a drop-point blade and not a clip-point, like one usually sees on these knives. The coloring is spectacular and those bolsters look like those 18k gold bracelets/watch bands that are available. An overall stunning folder my friend! Enjoy it to the fullest!

Nice Jamie. What's the hook on the 1st knife for, and what's the stubby little thing sticking up beside the awl on the 2nd knife, and it's use? Thx!

EDIT: Never mind the 2nd knife, it appears to be the fulcrum-release for the awl.

Hold the bird by the back with one hand breast up, insert the hook through the vent just short of the handle, rotate the hook and gently pull it out; the intestines will come out on the hook. You can reinsert the hook if you don't get them all the first time.
It is wise to remove the bird intestines as quickly as possible. They are the main cause of gamey flavors. Frequently the intestines are ruptured due to shot.
And you are correct on the release of the Marlin Spike, you can get some serious tight knots untied with them.
