I derailed another thread with this post then decided it needed to be here as well.
I went through a phase and had several rehandled by various knife mechanics. I think my favorite is a tie between all 6 of them. The ivory by Wallace Rockwell, a stag handle by Herman Williams, another stag handle by Elvis (Bob Picklesimer), a ram's horn by I've forgotten who, a gold lip pearl handle by Wallace Rockwell and PCB (printed circuit board) by Glen. They've been posted singly here and there throughout the forum so here they all are in a single post.
The Camillus 72 and it's clones are not a one trick pony.

Thanks Mike. To me the Camillus 72 pattern (be it original Camillus or other brand) just cries out to be personalized.

5 beauties, and the last circuit board pattern would have to grow on me. Just looking at it, for some reason makes me think it should be a thumb drive.

Having worked in and around the electronics and computer industry pretty much my entire working life, I have a different outlook on PCB's (printed circuit boards).
Somewhere around 2003 Camillus decided knives with PCB scales would sell and came out with the Cyber series. I don't think it took very long for them to discover they had guessed wrong. Occasionally you will see one for sale on eBay (at a high price) and that was the birth of my Cyber 72. Most folks might not care for them but I do.

I really like that first one the Scout knife, but that circuit board handle is a very imaginative idea.

I bought this one Grant. I'm sure it has been messed with. But I thought it interesting enough to bid on. I'll post pics when it gets here.

Doglegg I also found it interesting.
The only think I could see wrong was the pivot pin was a little shot when they spun it.
Now you have a three spring whittler

Well the franken 3 spring traditional whittler showed up. I sent an email to the seller and asked if he knew who had done the mod and he said that he didn't realize that it had been worked on. So the knife mechanic remains a secret. Great job on it. No half stops on any of the blades. All tight and great snap. Over all I am very pleased. More bulky than the original but still very comfortable. Thanks for looking.

Floyd, you know how I feel about this pocket knife.
Don't forget to post it in the clone/variation thread.
If there was ever a variation of a CAMILLUS 72, this IS IT!!
