Great photo and funny caption! Though I think my cats would go to the supermarket and buy a bunch of fish...

That’s a beautiful cat.
Here is Moki at 3 months and 2 weeks. He really looks like a a golden retriever now. He weighs about 50 lbs and when we got him at Easter he was just 9lbs. It’s no wonder a year is like 7 years for a dog. When you grow up that fast, how fast is every other aspect of aging? Adolescents in a year and a half? Adulthood at 2 to 3 years and then it’s a quick rush to old age. Cherishing every moment I get with this beautiful and sweet boy before I blink and it’s over.

Thanks Garry and Dan. He is just as sweet as he looks.
Dan those two cats remind me of our Penny and Jack, both gone now. But those two really bonded and slept together and got along great. Yours looks like they are really good together.

Nice looking pups and cats, guys!
Some pics of Rueger, or 'The Furry Turd" as I like to call him.
He's 6 months now, will turn 7 in a couple of weeks. We are thinking now he will be much smaller than initially thought - maybe around 70-80 lbs - which is fine by us. Still a big dog.
In the first couple of pics, a squirrel ran up into the tree and was taunting and chattering at him.
He likes the purple donut toy. I roll it across the yard at high speed and he takes after it like a shot, like he is chasing a rabbit. Pam has been doing his daily training sessions for the last couple of months. He learned "sit", "down" in the first day, and has now mastered "stay". "Stay" seems to be the hardest for most of our dogs in the past. The retaining wall around the patio does not retain him at all, and he likes to leap over it at full speed.

Mike, Ruger appears filled with energy and vigor. May I suggest another basic command to consider? It may require the most patience but may be the most important of all. That is the recall. To have a dog consistently return despite distractions can be life saving.
It usually requires several brief training sessions several times a day.

Little Blind Molly isn’t so sure about this yet.
Hasn’t growled or tried to correct her behavior, mostly ignoring her as best she can.

QS, yes, she works with them on recall as well. She is pretty regimented on their daily training routines, especially when they are young like Rueger. She is also looking into getting him some professional training. We have done this with a couple of our dogs in the past.
