Very nice Big H, and in top-notch condition ta boot! I just read a post yesterday from you where you said, "It seems I missed out on this one" and the picture was this knife, so it appears you pulled the trigger and didn't miss out, good for you and congratulations! I bought one on ebay a couple months ago but it wasn't in as nice shape as yours, still really nice but not mint looking like yours! I noticed on your copy that the pin that holds the back spring in place seems to have a "crater" around it, I wonder if it was worked on? Also, yours is stamped "Queen" and mine is stamped "O.M.O.R.", and I wonder if that holds any significance? I just love the 10" size matched with the EZO and bone covers! Enjoy your new acquisition!

Very nice Marc. Most of the O.M.O.R. knives I've seen in the past were made in Japan or Germany. Most were either marked OMOR or sometimes ROMO. OMOR is ROMO spelled backwards, which stood for Rosenbaum & Mogul, a New York knife wholesaler that imported a lot of German and Japanese made knives.

That is a fine looking #62!
I ran across one several years ago that was made during the years Queen didn't stamp the tang. The lady listed it as an unknown mfg. but the imitation Winterbottom was a sure sign it was Queen.
What do you suppose was the intended purpose of this pattern, big spay blade with easy open cut out?

A lot of folks think it was a melon or citrus knife and Queen made one of them" look in the 1955 catalog ". but
It was designed for skinning and castrating per Queens historial catalog.

If it is 3.5 inches long it's a #33 if 4 inches it's a #32 .

Thanks for that information bud! My copy is stamped O.M.O.R./Stainless/J-288/JAPAN. I also own that fixed blade non-folding stiletto that I've posted a number of times that's stamped O.M.O.R./H-350/JAPAN. An additional thanks for explaining what O.M.O.R. means, I always knew it was ROMO spelt backwards but had no idea about Rosenbaum & Mogul, and now that I know who they were and what they did it makes a lot more sense! I was convinced down to my soul that the covers on mine are genuine stag but Q.S.(Garry) posted his one day and was absolutely certain that the covers on his were Winterbottom bone, and his is stamped Queen, do you think that coming from different manufacturers mine could actually be stag? I tried the "teeth" test, but not knowing what I was feeling for I still don't know. Thx!

Hard to tell from the photo. It almost looks like bone cut and burnished to look like stag. Would Need to look at it through a 45x or 60x loop along the sides and hafting. Bone will have what looks like cells, and veins, I forget the technical term for them. Genuine Stag from horn, if you look along the sides with a loop, looks similar, but will almost look like fine tight groups of hairs . Second cut Stag will almost have a porous look, whereas second bone will still look like bone as before, but some finer pours.

Ah, simply beautiful Smitty! I LOVE the Aqua Blue but the other colors are impressive as well! That's quite a dedicated collection of Alox's buddy! Are you stopping at 10 or are there more models to collect?

Thank you Dan. That is a good looking 34OT Middleman as Schrade liked to call them. They are a good carry size at 3-5/16", although some will measure more accurately at 3-3/8", I guess just depends on who was shaping that day.
