Great Barlow! My 2-blade I*XLs are all beefy knives but my beefiest is an old OVB one-armed Barlow from HSB I'd guesstimate to be from somewhere in the pre-war period. The edge on that knife will pop hairs, too.

With all the indoor time as of late, I felt Wooden Wednesday was a good time to reconnect with the trees.

Nice grain patterns Tony! I don’t want to start a debate about Sheffield vs. Solingen, but to me old Sheffield steel has been easier to sharpen. I’ve got Wade & Butcher straight razors that touch up more easily on a strop than my Twinworks.

I don't recall having carried this before. It is a China Kissing Crane. Well made, practical back pocket knife.
