So, did my usual cleanup and reformed the master blade back to a spear point. Amazing what a hot mineral oil spa treatment will do. Not only to flush out gunk, but to rejuvenate the bone. Now it is a decent EDC, and has some new life in her. All blades have great snap, and only the Master blade has a small bit of wobble. Here's some pics.

Beautiful Smitty! I love the touch-ups you performed to bring a dead old knife back to life! I hadn't heard of a "hot mineral oil treatment" but it sure did breath new life into those bone covers, they actually appear "refreshed", and those bolsters are poppin'! Congrats buddy!

That knife is gorgeous Kerry, do you mind me asking if it came from Ebay recently? I ask cuz I was following one that looked very similar to yours and was actually about to pull the trigger, but if it is the same one I'm glad it went to you! I know exactly what you mean about it catching your eye, same here, I like the minimalistic look along with it's square frame and single blade! Can we get some more pictures please!

Hey buddy! Yes it did come from Ebay, but there were about 4 out there when I bought this one. It was the only one without a box, and was also the most expensive asking price. But, he had a make offer option, so I made a fair offer for one with no box that was a bit scratched, and he accepted it. So, if you were looking at the expensive one with no box, this is it! I'll get you some pics tomorrow.

Has seen little use, and looks to have been kept up by its former owner. There is a little crud in the pivots, but that's about it.

"Push Center Lock Left to Release" etch is still prominent on the screwdriver. Out of about a dozen electrician's knives I have, this is the first to have an intact etch.


A few days earlier, the seller had sent this one by mistake, but let me keep it. It's a 1960s-1970s era woodgrain Delrin 204S, quite similar to the Craftsman models produced in the same time period.

That basically equates to two knives for $25. Seller was asking that for each knife. I think the price was a steal for the 204, but excessive for the well-used and damaged 204S (bent lock, screwdriver that has weak closing snap).
