All About Pocket Knives

Two or three of these factory second Klein 1550-5. Seller said "Buy 2, get one free". Added three, and it was still showing the price of three. I've ordered two, and will see if a third comes along with them. These should be usable, as my Rope Knife second was really stiff, but loosened up. It was written off as a second because someone drilled two holes for the bail, and there isn't a straight hole to put the bail pin anywhere. These have pin cracks in the Delrin handles--while I think I can live with it--I may be getting all of them rehandled. Anyway, $20 for 3 is cheaper than what a single regular one is.


The Klein/Utica coping knife is a really good EDC. I was given one by a friend, and really started to like it. Being one of the few traditional EO knives you can get these days, it's easy to get open with gloves on. It's pretty small at 3 1/4" closed with a 2 1/4" blade, but I can get a lot done with it,, since the handle is wide. This is also the version without the lock, which is what I prefer, as the locks have a lot of play, and the lock itself adds a lot of bulk to the frame.

. I really like those knives. Knives with single work blades just have historical work knife written all over them. Looking forward to seeing your bounty when it arrives, hope you get the bonus.

This was on here for $50, and is pretty close in blade shape (albeit, this is a drop point PE model, instead of SE sheepsfoot) and steel to the $150 custom build I had been wanting to do using a Mini Griptillian. From what I've found, it is based on the Mini Presidio. Albeit, the Bone Collector logo, which I seem to see on a lot of hunting gear as of late, is UGLY!!! Which probably played a big part in it being discontinued more than six years ago.

Benchmade Mini Bone Collector? I have no idea, really.

A pair of BSA shield knives. An Ulster Stainless Camp knife on top with round BSA Shield, and a Camillus 1047, white handle with round BSA shield and Long line 1960-76 tang stamp. Also have this one coming.
A Camillus 4 Line tang stamp 1941-46, tip bolster swell end jack. You can't tell in the picture but the owner says it does have the "USA" last line of tang stamp. It is 3-1/16" long no cracks in the handle, and blades are supposed to have great snap and no wobble. Can't wait to get it and see it in person.

Picked up this Coast "PORT. USA" / "Ireland"

What would you guys call this kind of patern? Trapper? Or some kind of Jack Knife? The seller called it a "Trapper Muskrat".

Tom, I'd call it a serpentine jack and if it's real small you might add pen knife.

Yeah, serpentine jack or Texas jack. One of my favorite patterns.

Stag 885UH. It apparently came from the factory in Ellenville this way, but obviously, there is no shield. One of the few stag Schrades I've seen (and actually the first in the wild, not just here) that is stag, not Delrin.

I believe this was from one of the Copenhagen/Skoal promos in the early 1990s, as there was a "Fisherman's Gift Set" issued in 1992 that included a 167UH and an 885UH all in genuine stag. Only 500 were produced. I presume it was a second/warranty spare due to that pin crack.

I bid on a knife with the same handle, but a tiny caping blade that would be of no use as a woodcraft/work/EDC fixed blade, but they also had this one, which is far more reasonable for daily use. Only cost me $15 shipped. I plan to most definitely use it.

Western by Camillus Buckmasters-branded fixed blade. I think this is a WR-12, which should have a 4.5" blade, but to me, it looks like the blade on this one is somewhat smaller--more like 3". Might just be the angle and the lighting deceiving me, however.
