I snagged this one yesterday. I couldn't resist the BIN price.
It's a bit nasty but the blades look full. I think it will clean up OK.....
OH.... BTW..... I saw a
heavily worn Stanley on the bay yesterday. BUT... I recon the #72 folks have already found it. It is paired with another knife and already at a price that is more than I want to pay.
Good score Mike.
I will NOT be going for the Stanley and Cattraugus PARTS knives. Here is the link if anyone is interested.

Actually, it's a 1047.

This one is worth a 2nd attaboy. I think the 1047 is an alias.

Look at you guys go. There's not a Camillus 72 that's safe when you guys are on the job. Congrats to all y'all.
Mike, if it's a 1047 there won't be a pattern stamp on the rear tang of the main blade. Don't ask me why they did it that way but it's Camillus & that's the way they roll. (you probably already knew that

)

Yep, that was how I knew it was a 1047.
When I first saw it, I thought it was a 72. Then when I got it, there was no # on the back side of the tang, oh well.
Yep, it makes you wonder WHY they didn't put a # on that model.

Because they were Camillus.

In the lat six months or so have snagged a few 72's. In the first pic the top three are 1st Gen and the bottom one is a second Gen.

Today I received these two CAMILLUS 72, 3 blade, long line, "whittler" pocket knives. Both needed some amount of cleaning. I took some pictures and here are the knives.
