Lots of birds right now, from Lazuli Bunting to Black headed Grosbeaks. Lots of woodpeckers this year too. We have a mating pair of Redtail hawks on the homestead, always screaming. Here is a male Evening Grosbeak,

Female Black Headed Grosbeak, the males are bright and very skittish. I had a hard time identifying.

Thanks QS, we are having a good wet spring, which has eluded us the last two years. Rained for 4 days straight over the weekend. Normally I see Stellars Jays by now, but haven't. I have recorded Stellars Jays copying every birds song around here, quite impressive, equal to a mocking bird. We also have Cassins Finchs, which are not common.

I agree. Used to watch Cliff Swallows a lot in my working days.

Downy woodpecker at my hummingbird feeder, I’ve seen him several times. Not the best picture but I didn’t dare move and it was thru 2 layers of glass

I've come to dislike the Canadian Geese very much.
They're year 'round residents here, and there's a ton of 'em.
The reason for the dislike is they seem to like the grass around our church property, to include the parsonage where I live. They come eat and leave poop all over the driveway and sidewalks.

They are known as "Canada Geese". ::nod::

They are all around the pond where I walk. I don't care for them either.
They are a great bird but I don't want to live with them.
