John I share your grief. We lost 2 cats and 3 dogs in the past 7 years. Each loss is painful to think about.
Here is Moki, he has doubled in weight in the 3 going on 4 weeks we have had him. We got him at 9lbs and today he is 20 lbs. I really think he is an Alpha dog. He is not afraid of any of the bigger dogs and is already trying to dominate his #1 playmate Bristol, he is on top of her a lot. They both play the same games. She wears him out for us, when the weather is decent. It has literally rained or misted all this cold cold wet day. Welcome to Indiana spring weather.

Looks like Moki is growing like a weed. Rueger is as well. We have had him 1 month today. He was born Jan 21st, so he is 14 weeks. Ahter and him are pretty much inseparable now. However, Ahter came up lame a couple of days ago as a result of their rough play. She has been limping slightly on her front leg, Ahter is 7 years old, so not as spry as she once was. We have been keeping them separated the last 2 days for Ahter's leg to heal. Neither of them are happy about that.
The wife took him to the vet today for some shots. He went from 21 lbs two weeks ago to 33 lbs today. I wonder if it hurts to grow that fast?

Unk. Rueger is beautiful. What a magnificent looking boy. Itβs amazing how quickly they grow up.

Thanks Mark. He's a pistol - lots of personality. The wife and I are crazy about him. He's already won both our hearts.

Some more art work by my daughter.
1. Ahter - Our Kangal
2. Joshka - GSD - we had to put him down last July
3. Milo - Yellow tabby - he's 19 years old.
4. Jelly - ? cat - We had to put her down 2 months ago. She was 20.
My daughter took the cats when she moved out a few years ago.

I remember Joshka Mike. If you don't mind me asking, how old was he?
I seem to recall seeing pictures of him as a pup. Been on this forum 13 years so if memory stands, taken to soon.
Sorry for your loss.
Your daughter is a very talented artist.
Regards, Jerry

Thanks Jerry. Joshka was 7 when we had to put him down. Cancer got him. He was a wonderful dog - maybe the best we have ever had.

That's horrible Mike. Too young. As I said, I do remember his age progression pics you posted. I knew you and yours were very fond and proud of him. He was a beautiful boy and looked like a good soul.
I lost my Buddy in November. He was 15 and a half. Toughest dog I ever knew. Did not post about my loss. Was just to hard. But maybe someday I will as you all here are so compassionate about these things. It was/ is like a hole in my heart that will never heal.

Elsa on lookout patrol.
4 months shy of 3 years old.
Literally, the most sweet, obedient, loving, loyal dog I have ever met or owned. As long as she is not going to get hurt or dead, I do not intervene. She does as she pleases and does not disappoint. We are so connected.
She is a looker too in my opinion. 4 flavors of sheepdog. Stayed smaller at 80 pounds, which is fine by me.
Healthy, perfect weight, long, tall and powerful for her size. All that matters.
All dogs are different like we are. Likely, the best dog I have connected with. Hope she has many more years with me. My best friend.

The Lord made bigger dogs, but this boy at 1yo is biggest I have owned, handled and cared for. Had I not named him Bear for his habit to bear hug early on, I would have named him Tank.
The pics do zero for actual size scale. He is a big sweetheart but resistant a bit on certain things. I will preservere for his sake. Not a control thing at all. I belong to my dogs, they don't belong to me. Just don't want either one hurt or worse. Elsa knows I have her best interest at heart, so she listens and does as she pleases otherwise if not getting into trouble.
Bear is work in progress. Leaps and bounds as far as training in the 4 weeks tomorrow I have been blessed with him.
A couple pics of Cujo, um, I mean Bear.

Thanks Mark!
Respect and love, both ways, not fear with my dogs. Worked for me on all dogs I have been blessed with.
Some few and far between people sometimes feel kindness, equals vulnerability or weakness. I treat those 2 legged types differently from my dogs. A little or healthy dose of fear goes a long way with curbing that on the 2 legged heathens when kindness is exploited.
Amen.
