There is nothing more enjoyable than watching dogs at play, and kittens too for that matter. Love the action pictures.

Those are some beautiful dogs sitting on that couch.

Great stuff GD and Mike. At play or rest, they are amazing friends, company or entertainment, etc.

Pretty big day in day 12 planned today for my pack since Bear's arrival. Not a trip to the desert. Explain more later.

Blessed so far that Bear and I both realize he had less than he deserved and we are working cooperatively toward changing that. Long road but made lots of miles in a short time.

No clue what this one year old mammoth endured in his short time but I sit on the ground and he is a gentle giant.

I never do selfie but it best reflected my hopeful growing bond.

Bear is a beautiful beast. He would intimidate me very easily. How very fortunate you and Bear made your connection.

Thanks Garry.

Bear is a tank. Still working through some things beyond our bond, which the bond is the foundation for working through them, of course. But, although it seems like a long time given the work, we have made many strides.

Appreciate the comments, Garry.

His sheer size and presence demands respect, whether someone chooses to willingly give it or not. His gentle nature thus far is admirable.
Gentle giant may be a quite fitting description, but I am under no illusion that he couldn't be opposite if he chose or the situation requires it.

Unk that is a beautiful shepherd pup.

Jerry, great work with Bear. That top photo does make him look like he could be menacing if he wanted. So glad you are giving him the kind of structure that he deserves.

Here are a couple of pictures of my new pup Moki. He had his first pack walk today, that is he went the full distance with the others. He is worn out.
He follows and plays with Bristol outside. She is really taken with playing with him. I’m grateful, it helps to wear him out. I will try not to overwhelm this thread with puppy pictures. It’s hard not to take pictures every day, he is just such a cute dog. It’s also hard not to post them. I haven’t had a puppy since I was a little boy on the farm and it’s a lot of fun and shear joy.

Overwhelm away Matk. That is one cute pup my friend. Love seeing pics of our pups or whatever pets we have. Partial to dogs myself but have a couple cats.
If there are some that don't want to look, they can rock on. Others like myself love the pet pics in this thread. Don't care how many posts they make. I enjoy it.

Elsa at bar during walk. One beer and some socialization. She did well.
Feed store last weekend. Was shaking like a vet trip.

Jerry Elsa is a beautiful dog. Funny how they all shake at going to the vet. My wife will take them in just to weigh them occasionally so they don’t always associate the trip with something that hurts.

Here are some more photos of Moki. He is with Bristol in most of these, except when he is sleeping. Bristol has finally come around to seeing him as a puppy to play with. Inside she still growls at him when he tries to share a bed with her, but outside she is teaching lots of things and having a lot of fun with him. It took about 3 weeks to get to this point. Moki is growing like a weed.

Thanks Mark. I can even see her subdued state in her ears. Normally perky. She is fairly relaxed in those pics.

Moki is a cutie. Chubby little pup. Great pics and commentary.

I finally decided to show these dogs here. They are treated with the care and affection of family pets but have serious and important work to perform which precludes them from living indoors.

Many of you will recognize them as Great Pyrenees. At the farm I visited yesterday they are tasked with the protection of sheep, goats, and chickens. Wise predators stay away. When the smaller one catches up in size he will become an even more effective partner to the big one.

She is a sweetheart Garry. Best dog I have ever had.

They do have important work. Pyrenees (part of Elsa and Bear's genealogy) are amazing protectors. Probably the best of any breed.
No doubt that both my dogs are big, large sweet dogs. That said I have ZERO doubt that if someone tried to cause me harm, they would gladly address the issue and die trying if need be. Very loyal.

If you want a interesting read, Google "Wolf Collar".
The original ones truly look medieval. Basically, two wide, flat iron collar in 2 halves connected with a hinge and a locking clasp. Follow that up with 4" sharp, pointy spikes, all over the collar exterior.
A Pyrenees wearing one was practically invincible to a wolf pack.

Here is an example...

Is Zeb different from a Border Collie? Thanks.

They are two totally different breeds. English shepards are more like an original collie before they became refined through years of breeding. Not an intense herder, more of an all around farm dog. They herd, guard and some make a squirrel dog and mine is a pretty good frisbee dog.
