Would this be considered a "72"? Was it made by CAMILLUS? Sure looks like a 72 to the uninformed... such as myself
Same pattern but different tang stamp and maker. The Craftsman 9494 was produced by Sears Roebuck by several makers. Yours I believe was made by Ulster, just going by the master clip blade and plain thumb nail nick. Good find, Congrats. Here is the thread about Camillus 72 Clones.
viewtopic.php?f=63&t=62956 You should consider also posting your Craftsman 9494 there also.

I think the main problem for me is that a lot of ones I have found in person, at pawn shops yard sales etc...etc... are usually in EXTRA worn out shape

Today's Camillus find: a well used (but not abused) Deluxe Pony Stock 83
I'm not expert enough to say if the covers are Cabone or Brownstag.

I found a #67 to add to the pile...

Maybe some acid-tone to get that blue paint off the metal.

This 91 Congress was in pretty sad shape when I paid $10 for it today.
I cleaned it up a bit and sharpened it. It's a long line stamp. Another packer.
