I've said it elsewhere, but Italian design is top drawer and your City knife is no exception. Love it.

I believe you're correct. On this one is the blade really tight opening and closing or smooth with a good snap?Quick Steel wrote: βFri Jan 21, 2022 7:19 pm I've said it elsewhere, but Italian design is top drawer and your City knife is no exception. Love it.

It comes with half stops; everything is tight and snappy. Good F&F. It is my first Coke Bottle with stag covers. I hope to find some more.

Wow Boji, you got one of the best models AGA makes, and not inexpensive either! The square upper positioned blade release was used by Latama on some of their early knives and quite possibly was invented by them, and since that others have copied it. I've admired your "Black Widow" ever since they first came out, and I'm wondering what you think of the action and overall feel of the knife, fit n' finish, etc.? Thx!Boji wrote: βSun Jan 23, 2022 2:05 am Decided my merger collection of American made autos needed an Italian switch. From a seller here, AGA Campolin Black Widow. For an 11 inch itβs a handful! I picked this style because I prefer the placement of the release button.

The fit and finish is on point. Action is positive, somewhat hard hitting but not crazy. Like in handguns the size and weight makes it controllable, it doesnβt jump out of your hand. Another feature I like is the release lever to close rather than using the βearsβ.Madmarco wrote: βSun Jan 23, 2022 2:50 amWow Boji, you got one of the best models AGA makes, and not inexpensive either! Good job of saving another one from sure death, Cody! Nice knife!cody6268 wrote: βSun Jan 23, 2022 4:24 am I impulse bought this Camillus USA Yello Jacket 711 Stockman for around $20, and was beginning to get a little nervous, as the seller's photos gave me the impression it had belt sander damage. Not a single photo showed the knife open.
However, that was actually a stain on the blade. Rust was its only problem--especially on the inside of the backsprings. Cleaned off well, however.

Interestingly enough, it is a second. I'm guessing the seller tried to hide this issue.

Functionally, there is no issue. I suspect the culprit is a crack in the Delrin near the rocker pin.

Needed some sharpening work, which didn't take long to get a working edge. I'm nearing proper shaving sharp every time I sharpen. I have found that as long as the knife still has its factory bevel, the suggestion Buck gives of coloring in the bevel with a Sharpie marker works great to keep the right angle.
Thanks for the info Boji!Boji wrote: βSun Jan 23, 2022 3:29 amThe fit and finish is on point. Action is positive, somewhat hard hitting but not crazy.
