Just came in the mail today…..vintage (1930s-1940s Kabar dog head….)two blade hunter.

Beautiful Kabar Whitney! It looks like a BIG knife, and I am extremely partial to BIG knives! The jigged covers look teriffic, and I just love the dog's head shield! Congrats!

Thank you! It is a BIG folder, 9 inches open. Love the feel and heft. Definitely diffrent than the 2 blade folders from the 1979’s. A pleasure to carry.

Really nice knife.

After viewing examples of these knives in a post last week I pulled the trigger for this one as soon as they became available from our very own Ali from his "Eight Knives" AAPK store! 8 1/4" oal slip-joint, bird's head bolster, genuine stag, all stainless hardware, single sheepsfoot blade, tight "run-up", what more could you ask for! As usual, sorry bout' the poor pictures!

It was a big mail day today!
First an Al Mar S.E.R.E. 40th Anniversary Flipper AMK9202.
I think this may be my contribution to the monthly knife giveaway
this year.
Second and third I've just had a liking for Scout/Camping knives lately
so we have a Uncle Henry 23UH and an Old Timer 23OT.
Last we have another Moore Maker in a Barlow 3204B.

Postal gal was rather sweet today brought me a nice little 3/4 congress

I am very impressed with all of the preceding knives. Very strong beginnings to the New Year.

Marco, I haven't seen a pattern quite like that before. It has great appeal for me.
LA, You know how I admire the Bulldog Barlows.
David, you really scored with those Al Mars. They become more valuable by the hour.

All are beautiful folders David! I love the AL Mar SERE, but they're so expensive. I realize your model is the less costly version they put out, yet it's just as nice as the originals. I'm really likin' the baby blue color on your M/M too! Congratulations on a very fruitful day to the mailbox!
