Ivoryman and Cody, very nice pick-ups!

I received these yesterday: 100th Anniversary 33OT, 1992 giveaway 12OT, and 3OT, plus an Old Timer belt buckle.

Very sweet, Dan, a nice four pack! ::groove::

When I arrived home tonight, this duo was waiting. If you didn't know, I love me some rope jigged blue bone. 😻

Thanks Royal, thanks doglegg, thanks Dan. Appreciate it. Feel lucky on the 893. I think it's unsharpened and looks like it's never been carried either.

Thanks, Mike! I still intend to scour the catalogs in the hopes I can determine if it may have been part of a gift set.

According to the book this knife was made by G. SCHRADE in 1940.

Here is the Old Timer Belt Buckle and the Imperial Belt Buckles that I have. I have an 897 UH which is the knife on the Old Timer Buckle as well as a Frontier Double Eagle which is on the Imperial Buckle!

Very nice! I'm pretty sure my belt buckle depicts a knife with a 61OT tang stamp.

Dan,

I stand corrected, I said 897UH, however, you are correct in that it is a 61 OT. Ooops! What was I thinking...OLD TIMER not UNCLE HENRY...lol

I have been looking for one of these 898K slenderinos for quite some time. Finally received a mint one. The celluloid is in perfect condition.

Nice one!

Is that the same Coast as today? From reading their (condensed and vague) history, it appears that Coast got started as a hardware retailer, but later focused on knives, and flashlights today. But their early history is practically a black hole.

I fished this guy out of the bay yesterday.
It has a 97OT blade but it is not an official 97 OT.
The real 97OT has a saw blade and the "toothpick from hell" and tweezers combo in the handle.

I guess it is a 97OT blade in a trapper handle with yellow covers..... ::shrug::

97 OTY.jpg

The real, sho 'nuff 97OT.....

It looks like it was factory assembled or either well done by somebody that was assembling left over parts.
It needs a little clean-up but I am happy......

:D

This one has been featured elsewhere, but I think it merits a spot here as well. It is a nice unused 834UH. Has "LA" engraved on the mark side head bolster. Complete with box and paperwork. Thanks to Sanders Knives, there is one less hole in the Schrade collection (but many remain to be filled)!

Was gonna give the before and after pics here, but the before is just one page back so it's easy to find if you want to see it. The treat is the mods done by Jeffinn and here they are in some bone that the pics don't do justice to. They really look deeper and richer but hey, they still look good. Jeffinn's the man, love his work and these old Schrades he dresses up. The 893 is Autumn Gold, the 825 is Amber jigged. Both look better in hand and both really pleased when they came. Look a lot better than the old Delrin in the last pic. Thanks Jeff, fabulous work as usual, and quick. All the best to ya if you're listening.
