So your knife would be my (1) above although I've never seen the LF&C model number stamped on the pile side of the main like yours, very interesting.

Thank you, I have a modest scout knife collection now. A 3 blade Remington, this LF&C and a Schrade made Keen Kutter Pioneer.

LF&C imitation stag was some of the best, most realistic ever made. I’m pretty sure Robeson used the same material on a few of their knives. I have two.

Having read through a lot of these pages now, this has to be one of my favorite threads on the forum. Would anyone have any neat display ideas for scout knives that aren't necessarily from the same maker but from the same time period? Right now I'm using a drawer in a newer machinists chest from Amazon.

Is there a thread somewhere in AAPK dedicated to 4 or 5 blade Utility knives not connected to any form of scouting ? I have a few i would like to show.

Roland, many of the knives in this "All Scout Knives" thread are unofficial ( not authorized by or affiliated with any scouting organization) scout/utility patterns already, so why not just post them here? I've posted several like that here myself.

Thanks Ken. I read the O.P. which says " They can be boy scout, girl scout, cub scout, etc." so was unsure.
Here is a Camillus made Sears Craftsman Sta-Sharp 9548 likely from 1930's. The etch says "Chrome Plated" which is a clue to age if someone knows when chrome plating of blades was 'in'.
It has "P.A.L." deeply engraved into right front bolster, professionally done, not distracting. Someone once suggested P.A.L. is an acronym for some organization that sounded reasonable but i cannot recall what it was.
Tang is marked "High Carbon/Steel/U.S.A.".
Never used, beautiful, solid older knife. I particularly like the orange tinge to the bone as seen here and on many of the bone Sta-Sharp knives.

Here is another Sta-Sharp, this one called a "Standard Trooper" in blade etch and "Standard Scout" on shield and it also has the Sears number 9548, same as the "Camp" knife in above post. The only difference i can see is the shield, marked "Camp" on the above knife and "Standard Scout" on this one. Camillus made, likely 1930's.

Here are 2 both marked "Ulster/Knife/Co." on master tang so from before 1941. Same knife with one having an etch "Craftsman/Hammer Forged 9533"

Those are great examples Roland. Condition is stunning on all of them! Sorry I can't help with the PAL meaning.

Most likely, PAL is Police Athletic League which is an organization in many American police departments in which members of the police force coach young people, both boys and girls, in sports, and help with homework and other school-related activities. The purpose is to build character, help strengthen police-community relations, and keep children off illegal drugs.

Roland that is an excellent group of scout knives. Thanks for adding them to this thread.

Here is another Craftsman/Sta-Sharp/Chrome Plated 9548" with "High Carbon/Steel/U.S.A." on master tang. I feel o.k. about calling this one 'mint'.

Thank you D. These bone Sta-Sharp knives are such solid well made knives. If you ever see an unused example i suggest you nab it quickly before someone else does. Unused ones are rather rare.

Here's a nice bone handle Utica

A rare find? A scout in a pawn shop... an unofficial scout from Krusius, Germany. 3 5/8” closed, jigged bone, brass liners and spear point blade. Needs a bit of cleaning.
A nice knife and a lucky find.

Absolute beauties Roland!!!

CRAFTSMAN JUNIOR SCOUT/UTILITY with a LOCKING PUNCH - 3 3/8 inches closed

This knife has a few warts, but still fairly uncommon. The bad - front handle has hairline and small patch, and the punch is short. The good - the remainder of the blades are full, and the punch has a functioning liner lock. The Master blade is stamped FORGED USA, and most of the etch is faint but readable - CRAFTSMAN HAMMER FORGED and 9468 (I can't make out the word above the pattern number). I am guessing Camillus as the maker, but I defer to you Scout/Utility experts.

Definitely made by Ulster knife company , not Camillus , can opener is the dead giveaway . All iron parts puts it mid 1940s
