All About Pocket Knives

Im a reletively new member at AAPK, so this is only my second POS exchange, and While I thought that terrible TripppleFFF's offering from the last round was about as BIG and S'y as it could get, member IMband has just blown my mind with an obnoxiously large pile of POS gold!!
Seriously!, When I opened the package I thought I was gonna find it full of sand or a brick or somthing!

Unless my eyes deceive me...I think woodrat shook off a piece from his boot,(from the POS I bomb him with) and it landed in Jody's POS? If thats not the case, I think woodrat and I both have poor eyesight and at times can be suckered by the same guy!! ::super_happy::Way to go with some real POS slinging!!

I think next time we should do it by weight. I can ship a Kilogram (2.2lb) for the same price as one of those flat rate US international postal boxes. So who's up for it? A whole big box of S***!

I'm a little late in making it to the POS party, but I'm hear.
My good buddy mike England was the lucky dog who drew my name, so I knew I would be getting some great ones.

He didn't disappoint.


Okay, so lets get the descriptions started.

Well start with least to greatest.

The little key chain knife is a special little piece, it was hand made by a little old man in china. He hand fitted the wood scales to the ancient, secret, stainless steel liners with some kind of epoxy. I believe the wood was harvested from some old chop sticks, I'll do some more research to be sure.

Second up is the little singled bladed knife.
It was used by Bruce Lee when he was off set. Who knew he was such a fan of cutlery?
The scales are made of ancient 2X4 that was washed up on shore after a storm.

And how about that butterfly knife?
From what I understand it was used by an actual butterfly, he defeated many foes with this wobbly old blade before his time was up.
The knife was passed onto Mike, who never spoke of the true origin until he sent it my way. I can feel the butterfly's wrath when I flick it open.

Lets go to the Red knife.
It may appear to be some kind of cheap plastic, but some further inspection shows that it is truly the coagulated blood of an ivory unicorn, obviously it has been stabilized through top secret processes.

Finally, the picture knife.
The picture was taken by, I believe, famed wildlife photographer, Ansel Adams.
The silversmithing was done by a blind man who worked out of a cave, his name was not mentioned in the paperwork, just his story.

My favorite by far and the most important is the Mellon Tester.
The Ivory scales are from a huge bull elephant that Peter capstick took on one of his many adventures.

To say my collection has been boosted is an understatement, these knives are true beauties that stand as perfect examples of cutlery.
I can't wait to share them with the next unfortunate member who I draw in the next POS.

A more eloquent description has ne'r been penned. How perfectly your words captured the history of these majestic blades and the mystery of their origins. I am truly pleased that these treasures have been passed on to one who can appreciate their real value.

Caleb -- At the risk of delving too deeply into the mysterious origins of this fine collection, What's the tang stamp on the melon knife?
