Spyderco paramilitary 2. Got it for Xmas this year and have carried it every day so far.
Benchmade 707. Got it for Xmas last year and carried it everyday so far, except for when I sent it in to have a spring replaced. Both are exceptional knives in all areas. The 707 has endeared itself as one of the most useful and smooth operating EDCs I have ever carried. The PM2 is turning out to be a hardy companion as well.

That is a friction folder by Schwartz Tactical. It has a titanium blade, with a chisel grind, carbide on one side. Textured G10 handles,
I had just finished a sheetrock repair for a friend when I took that picture.

guarddog, how is that Voyager working out for you?

Mike England: I like the looks of that 707. Is replacing the spring after 1 year normal for that kind of knife?

You like the chisel grind Trey? They sure get sharp!

These are the three I have been EDCing for the last week or so.

I love the chisel grind on my CRKT M16-14! AUS8-A steel is great stuff! ::tu::
Lately I have been carrying it and the Kershaw liner lock Wild Turkey.
I love its ATS-34 blade! One of my favorite steels! ::ds::
The little Camillus is so light it sits in my watch pocket unnoticed until I need a scalpel. ::nod::

QS- Imo, replacing a key operating component of any knife after one year of use shouldn't be considered normal. However!, I do have a serious tendency to repeatedly deploy and close the blade for absolutly no reason other than I enjoy doing it. that being said, the knife functioned perfectly well for at least several thousand operations over the course of a year. Further more, I don't believe the operation of the Axis lock mechanism places a great amount of stress on the "Omega springs" in the first place. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that there may have been some kind of flaw in the spring to begin with. Anyhow, Benchmade cust service did a great job getting my knife fixed up good as new and returned to me a timely manner, and I continue to enjoy using what I consider to be an outstanding knife on a daily basis.

My modern edc is usually one of these, a
Spyderco Delica 4 or Rat-2
Delica is ffg vg10 and the Ontario Rat II is Aus-8.

I pair these with a old Schrade Stockman or Jack.
Sometimes a SAK goes along too.

Rat II is nice. It's made in Taiwan I believe.
It's small as in Delica 4 size small. Rat 1 is 20% larger than Rat II.
Just like an Endura is bigger than a Delica.

For an edc I like the RatII/ Delica4 size.
I have small hands so? Some of you bigger guys that like an Endura would want the Rat 1
I think they are well made and the f+f is nice. Very smooth. Plus I like Aus 8.

They are really nice, especially for around $30.

ps I have a Kershaw Chill, Skyline and Volt II also.
Next month it's their turn!

Well I tried the Boker at work for two weeks she's not a work knife so I retired her to the glovebox ::shrug:: I've been giving a Spydico Delica4 a whirl what a comfortable knife.

Nice orange Delica4 Dogg.
I really like mine, fits me well. I wouldn't mind an Endura either but it's a little big for edc.
The Rat II is super for just about anything I've found. I have only one minor gripe: It's not as grippy as would like sometimes. Handles are nice, but very smooth.
Great thing, the Rat can be found for under $30!

The handle on the Delica to me is fine. Some people don't like frn [fiberglass reinforced nylon] but I like it. Delica is about twice the cost of a Ratll

I hear you dogg.
The Delica4 is excellent. Love the VG-10 too. The Rat2 is half the price of the Spyderco and in that light it's a really nice knife in it's own right. imho :)
