Gene: Thanks for the info.I didn't realize they were rare;I just thought it was a neat knife.I wish the blade wasn't nicked up. Have a Colonial floater and several foreign models.

Ray, that is a nice collection of floaters!! I have always liked them myself, especially the American made fixed blade ones. That Catt you show is another hard to find knife. I have seen them with red and yellow handles besides the yellow and blue like yours and mine.

Thanks for the kind words.The Catt was the last one I picked up and it was very inexpensive($7).Still has the etch and the original sheath.
The top folding knife works like the old Barry Wood folders.You pull the handles slightly apart to disengage to lock pin and rotate the handles around until they lock into the open position.

The makers for the folders are(top to bottom):

Teja & Rosa Italy(more famous for their fine switchblades of the 1950's)

The fixed blades are(top to bottom):

Cressi Italy

You are quite welcome Dimitri. I always enjoy seeing knives that aren't run of the mill. One of the reasons I'm not a brand collector or a pattern collector.

Probably one of the best skinning knives that Schrade made, 1095 steel, long sweeping blade, easy to sharpen.

The Old Timer Deerslayer was also introduced in 1964 and remains one of Old Timer's largest hunting knives. The Deerslayer has a hefty 5.6-inch blade and a sizeable choil that acts as a finger guard. With a slightly upswept tip on the full-tang blade, the Deerslayer has been a favorite for many hunters.

Posted this earlier in year in a few different places but just saw this thread including fishing fixed blades where it no doubt also belongs. This old Green River Works knife has a sweet checkered cocobolo handle and has an Abercrombie & Fitch etch along with Russell Green River Works. A&F was a high end retailer of fly fishing and fishing equipment starting in the late 1800s unlike major retailers who are here today. As an example their old bamboo rods were made by some of the more well known and quality builders of the day including Edwards. From a collectibility standpoint for old fishing equipment it is a desirable find. Interestingly the knife came with a Russell sheath that I have seen with Russell Hunters. Gunsil (Gene) had told me that Russell fish knives did not come with sheaths but it is possible and I am just speculating that given A&F was a high end retailer perhaps they had these specific knives ordered with a sheath from Russell. I have to say the sheath fits perfectly on this knife.

This thread needs to come to the top again.

Just got in this Kabar 637-6 jigged bone handled hunting knife. Similar design to the Case ( and others) pig stickers. Didn't come with a sheath but something will turn up. From an AAPK store, thank you Tom. These are the sellers pictures. Has a nice patina on the steel, handles have what is likely an old repair. Very please to add this to the pile. Will also post in the Kabar forum.
