That #53 Cuban Castro in Dead Skunk came today. Good color on the handles and fast ship, Ken from Blue Creek Cutlery. Wow! She's a big ole Hoosier. Stick this one in your pocket and all the ladies will be impressed.

Nice royal! I have the single blade version in ebony. I say nay on the vinegar treatment, I say let the knife earn it's patina naturally.

That ones on my want list too Royal. Good pickup Bud. I agree with Ryan. Patience grasshopper. Patience. I've done the vinegar thing as a test and it just looked phony to me. JMHO.

Jerry's right, can't speed up a process that should occur naturally over time. Otherwise it just won't look as good...

I agree with the natural patina but if you want to help it along just use the knife when you have a steak for dinner or cut an apple for a snack, it will help the patina move right along. Plus it's fun to woop out yer own pocket knife at a restaurant and cut yer steak, I do it every time these days as well as at home

I already have one in Red Stag with the spear main blade but I sure do like this Neon Blue.

Nice score MONK! I passed on these mainly because the jig bone didn't really come close to what I thought it should've been.
