How do you like this scout knife? I’ve been looking at these and thinking about buying one.
It's a chunk, fit and finish are excellent for the money. This one has slightly different colored handles, looks like the bone didn't take the dye the same. But a nice knife overall. I'm pleased.

Received this one today. Another addition to my Camillus Steelies. A Camillus "WHAT-A-KNIFE" single blade with a caplifter / screwdriver secondary. Like new, excellent snap and half-stops on both blades. Not sure of the pattern number, but it is the same design and pattern as the Camillus 326 "DURA-TOOL" which I already have in my collection.

So Smitty, here's what you do when you buy a "What A Knife" with a broken tip. You turn it into a Wharncliff!

Great save Kerry!

It looks really good!
Thanks Marco!

Thanks very much Smitty! Mine was advertised as stag covers, and the etches on the blade read "ROUGH*AND*READY", and, "I Never Fail". The engraving on the bolsters are of 2 different faces, the one on the bottom bolster both sides looks like Alfred E. Newman from MAD magazine with fangs, and the one on the top bolster both sides looks like a Roman citizen with an olive wreath on his head. I think both were suppose to look like Romans. Sorry bout' the lousy pics, I couldn't stop the glare.

Appreciate the extra photos Marc!! Yes, I've seen the "I Never Fail" etch before. There has always been a debate on who the faces were. Again, congrats Marc!

this short line Camillus just arrived! One grail knife down. Many more to go
Congrats on the 72 Randy. Finding a Camillus 72 in great shape is a plus, finding one that's a shortline is a Bonus, finding one that is both with bone handles is Fantastic.

Here are my newest additions to my Case /&/ Zippo piles.

Both of these will end up in my showcase.
If I ever get another nice Eisenhower pen knife I'll then EDC this one as it has some blade rub but for now it's the nicest one that I have so it's a protected species.
I'll post a few more pictures in the Case thread.
Thanks for looking friends!

I don't think it is common. But probably not all too uncommon either.
Most of my Case knives do not have any blade rub but this one does which is probably why the owner sold it I guess.

The price was fair so I won't do any complaining about it. It's still a nice looking knife IMO so I'll put it in my showcase untill I get another Eisenhower. Then I'll pick out one of the two for my EDC rotation but that may not be till some time in the distant future. Depending on when I find another one.

I like it Jerry, a lot!

How often do ya see a knife with all that color and detail,

not very! I'm almost tempted to buy one, almost! And who really cares if it's a R/R,

it's quite an attractive knife! Nice catch!

Tom, your willpower far exceeds mine. Every time I promise myself I’m going to keep a knife pristine, my inner 3 year old wins the fight and I end up playing with the new toy!

So much for being a grownup

I had a pleasant surprise when this package arrived today: I had bought two knives off the 'Bay as "parts knives", but this little Camillus 41 was in better shape than I'd expected.
The pen blade had some wobble, so I peened it slightly. Then, a few minutes with a #2 pencil, some Case Paste, Quick-release oil, and some sharpening stones, and I have a great little toter!
At 3-1/8" it is a bit small for everyday use, but I opened a box with it and it sliced like a Samurai sword!
The knife is about as old as I am - which means it is old and has some scars, but still useful enough to have around. I may put it in my Sunday morning rotation.

Always good to give an old knife a new lease on life.
