That transition is a very nice knife Greg.

Picked up a couple nice Barlows recently, a XX and a XX U.S.A. The XX has bone that looks like the bone used during the Tested era, maybe an early XX.

My most recent Case pick ups:

P4040014.JPG
Went a little Copperhead crazy...just can't resist the 6249W.
P4040011.JPG
Also picked up a couple more Swayback Gents 61117. Perfect size pocket knife, IMO, and I love the single Wharncliffe blade.

Although I already have one exactly like it, I just couldn't pass up this Mini Trapper 6207W for the price. I really like the Sky Blue Bone and, of course, the Wharncliffe secondary blade (Hmmm...there seems to be some kind of pattern here).

Wow! QT, I love all of those! If you are buying mini trappers, you better be careful - you and Jerry might get into a bidding war...

Suitcase, I don't do bidding wars. I'm a sniper and use the sniping program GIXEN. One bid per auction. That's my limit. (sorry if I ruined your joke)

You thought I was joking?

I do exactly the same thing Jerry - including the use of gixen. I either win or I look for another target. No regrets!

Amen brother. Those folks that bid and bid and bid, confound me. ::undecided:: They're just shooting themselves in the foot by driving the price up. ::disgust::

Today I received this little 05263 stag-handled pen. It is pretty rare for me to find a Case knife with stag handles that is cheap enough for me to win, and when I do find one you can bet it has some "issues". The blades on this little guy have been abused. Both look short and thin with a lot of grind marks. I probably paid too much for the condition, but darn it, I get so excited when I see stag down in bottom-feeder territory that I just can't help myself. :D

Dang Suitcase. It doesn't look all that bad to me. Perfect? No but plenty good enough for those handles. ::tu::

This 07 came yesterday. The pictures don't do those Walnut Bone handles justice. I couldn't get past the threaded bolsters and had to have it.

Jerry, that's another great 07 for you, and I agree, those bolsters are very cool!

Nothing wrong with that one - it's got "experience". I'd be proud to carry it. ::tu::

This was another impulse buy of a pattern I did not previously own. It is a worn-out 6208 with a tang stamp of 1973. I'm a bit concerned about this one, I'm not sure it is completely kosher. Is a half-whittler supposed to be a single back spring? I think the answer is yes, because a full-whittler would have dual back springs, right? The visible pins in the bolsters worry me - does that mean the knife has probably been taken apart at some point in it's life? There is a bit of wobble in the primary blade. Assuming the blade is original, then I suspect this knife spent most its life riding around in someone's pocket. The handles seem much more worn than the blade.

TFL your 6208 looks legit to me. Yes they only had one backspring. Personally I dislike the "half whittler" name. The 6208 is actually a nice pen knife. Yours has been "rode hard", but an HOK with plenty of use left in it.

I just got this Ebony Tribal Lock Back in. My first one was badly hafted so this is my second try here. Looks like this one is a keeper. ::super_happy::
