They are, at least one of them, unusual. I really like that style blade.QTCut5 wrote:Thank You, all. Lately, I seem to have returned to my 'collecting roots', if you will; eschewing the overpriced and over-hyped (IMO) current "fad" brands for the tried-and-true, reasonably priced, traditional favorites.
Here are just a couple of my recent acquisitions.

Something very comfortable about those knives.Mumbleypeg wrote:Here's a few I've gathered in recently. Nothing rare, exotic or expensive. Just some good honest old Case discontinued patterns, for way less money than a comparable new knife.

Yes I got those from him. He has all the good stuff!gsmith7158 wrote:Zach those are a couple of knockouts! Are those R.D.?
RalphAlsip wrote:Ken, nice group of 70's dot knives. The 92 is very "pocket-able" pattern for me. As I recall the 47 one of you preferred carry patterns.
Zach, nice XX 94's. When did you become a cigar collector?
Well, I decided I needed just a little more verity. I had a red bone 6394.5 awhile back and traded it, really kicked myself in the butt for doing it.. but Greenbone will fill that void perfectly.RalphAlsip wrote:Ken, nice group of 70's dot knives. Thank you guys.Steve Warden wrote:Hey Ken, next time warn a guy so I can have a bib ready! Some drool-inducing knives, to be sure!
"for way less money than a comparable new knife" -- Where are you making your finds? Ain't squat for knives up here in Jersey. Antique malls, flea-markets, forget yard sales; all are just offering up the cheap stuff.
Ken I like those Seventies knives for totin myself! Here's a couple from my EDC box, Both 10 dots, an 047 and an 055. You just can't beat em. Here a USA to XX transition 6488 that came riding in out of West Texas this evening. Not a flaw on this baby.Mumbleypeg wrote:Thank you guys.Steve Warden wrote:Hey Ken, next time warn a guy so I can have a bib ready! Some drool-inducing knives, to be sure!

Steve, very few local sources here also. All three were eBay finds. The 92 was the most expensive but they were all less than new GECs, Queens or Cases of similar size, style and handles. And they're of that good older Case quality. I think these are all discontinued patterns which is why I bought them. You just have to keep a lookout for them. When you find them decide the most you're willing to bid and then stick to it. I usually get out-bid but sometimes........![]()
Jerry, I do like the 47 but 047 is my EDC of choice.![]()
