All About Pocket Knives

Turkey day carry. My 65-69 5347 and a Russell patch knife that I put the handles on yesterday and finished this morning. The patch knife was a fun project and the next one will be more refined, fewer mistakes.

I'm not a black powder shooter but that is my understanding.

Great looking stockman Trace.


For turkey day I went with this schrade cut 3 5/8'' cattle knife. I really like this one.

Thanks all for the compliments on my stockman, it was a Christmas present from my fiance last year and is slowly seeing more pocket time since I finally put and edge on it.

I'm thankful for these two HOKs. #1 paired with a Crucible Knife Co. scout knife on Thanksgiving Day for the important work: Opening bottles.

Can't even see the difference between Bone & Derlin on those two. Nice knives, like that Premium Pen knife.

Used and abused, defiled and reprofile, but honest ole knives that have done the job and are still cutting the mustard. Oh the stories if they could only talk.

Carrying these for next week or so.
D2 steel flipper, Bone stag Trapper and a peanut.

Big'un in the the rfp, medium in the lfp and little bitty finger nail knife in the watch pocket.

A foot of snow and cold, just headed out to shovel and feed the pigs. This Texas jack has been in my pocket the last few days.

Thank you! Tony builds a great knife, sad so many are sitting in folks safe , never to be carried. Tony built Rick Menefee a few that he uses all the time. I keep my pocket knives in a leather slip in my breast pocket, keeps them upright. Working in the deep snow I have long underwear under my PCV Carhartt's, so no belt for a fixed blade. Well over 30 inches of snow since late Sept., and we are not even to winter yet!

Thanks. Don't tell anybody but that pen had me fooled for about a year. Then I read that the shield without a oval around "CASE" was introduced in 1975 to identify synthetic handles. Looks like it appeared a year earlier, at least on this one.

The more I see Tony & David carrying their Case Barlows, the more I wanna carry one.

1970 Case #62009 1/2 Barlow & 1971 Case 6332 Medium Stockman, both with CV & bone.
