Jerry, beautiful dog, interesting mixed breed. Just from the pictures I would have guessed lab and Great Pyrenees.

Completely white with back eyeliners and lips. Hazel eyes. Last of litter as rest had blue eyes. Never judged a dog by eye color in a litter pick myself but what floats the other litters owners boats.

Thanks boji. She definitely has a lab look to her head in some pics and expressions. Short hair legs and face but longer body hair and long hair tell-tale Pyrenees curly tail.

Guy has been breeding them for years but whom knows for sure. She is a sweetheart, healthy and a looker to boot. All that matters to me. Appreciate the compliment.

Jerry, I especially like the last two photos where she is posed against the mountains. Seems to emphasize her canine nature and indomitable spirit.

For comparison here’s “Big Dog”, the Akbash. Jerry, I can see the resemblance to yours. He has double dew claws on his rear legs - does yours have them too? He weighs about 110 pounds and when he stands next to me his head is waist high. He loves attention and will rub his big head on me, wanting to be petted. The second picture, for perspective, is of him and my 75 pound Lab, Mazie.

My dog, Shadow, is a lab/Norwegian Elkhound cross pure black. She has the face of a lab and her hair is exactly the same as you described your dog. She looks like 75-80 lbs but weighs 60-65. Lots of hair!

I'm sure you realize that the character of a dog is not determined by its size. I would love to see a picture of your best friend.

My sorta big loud dog loves the UPS driver, he has biscuits! FedEx, not so much, he has a bad attitude. Last week he dumped pkgs on the counter and said “This is my last week on this s*** job”. Hopefully a new driver is more pleasant.

Thanks QS. Normally we don't have delivery folks coming up to the house. We have a long driveway with a gate. The delivery guys just leave the packages at the gate, and I drive down to pick them up. Between my wife and I, we usually have several Amazon deliveries every week. So far no issues with theft since we have lived here.

But yes, they can be intimidating (Joshka was 127 lbs and Ahter was 117 lbs at last Vet visit). I have had more than one person back off of the front porch when they heard / saw the dogs inside the house. Although they are both love bugs once they get to know you. They are both well-trained and great family dogs.

I posted a picture of the robins nest that was made in our weed eater about 2 weeks ago. Well here they are today. These babies are probably going to fly away in 3 to 4 days. The nest just gets more and more crowded each day, practically every hour. It’s been fun having these so close and being able to document their progress, but the weeds are getting high so we need them to stay on schedule and fly away soon.
I need to get the series of pictures my wife has taken from eggs to hatching and finally big enough to fly, I’ll try to post those soon.

Thanks Garry! They are both really sweet & loving dogs. They do like to bark at strangers though. Oh well, that's how many small dogs are. At least nobody can sneak up on me.
