Good additions doglegg!

I don't know if it's fortunately or unfortunately but they are definitely few and far between. Makes them that much sweeter when they pop up.

Does it look something like the one pictured below? I know it's NOT a short line.

I was trying to throw you a curve ball. The one that I just posted the pictures of is a pattern #41.
Can you post pictures of your two blade, opposite ends, swelled center, pointed shield, #14 pattern please?
I really would like to see it. Sounds like a potential frankenknife.

Ok. Send me the knife and I'll take pictures of it and post them!
You might get the knife back.

I'm only kidding. I've got a pretty good idea what it looks like.
Don't know how a "72"" body ended up with 2 blades on opposite ends and marked pattern 14.
A great conversation piece! I've got a couple of those types myself. It's still a knife.

I should be getting this Camillus 72 "short-line" some time next week. Looks ok, could be better, but when a "short-line" shows up, you just have to act. The seller thought the "72" tang stamp meant the year. I DID NOT correct him. I'll give it a once over when I receive it and post MY pictures in the appropriate location(s). These pictures are the seller's.

Picked up a couple of 72 clones recently. A Bear boy scout 72 and a Craftsman 9494, also a 72 and 863 just cause the price was right.
