be cautious about rust Mike, I was advised against laser engraving a 1095 steel blade by GEC due to the certainty of rust.

Yes I’ve been told that. I keep an eye on them. Not doing it anymore on the knives we get madeπŸ‘πŸ‘

So what's the intended purpose for a coping blade?

A coping blade is primarily used for cutting intricate curves and detailed shapes in various materials, most notably for creating coped joints in carpentry. The tool was specifically designed for "coping" molding, a technique for shaping the end of one piece of trim so it fits perfectly against the face of an adjacent piece in an inside corner, providing a seamless finish.

It’s just the right size and stiffness for a multitude of tasks ::nod::

I have used a pocket knife to refine coped joints on baseboard many times, never thought of using the coping blade.
Mine came today, beautiful knife! Love the handles! Didn't have time earlier, and now too dull out to get a good picture.
Thanks Tom and Bryan.

The Knife Gods have taken pity on me at long last and sent a favorable tailwind to hasten the USPS outrigger delivery canoe on its journey from Oahu to the Big Island. PO pick up counter is already closed for today so I’ll have to wait till tomorrow morning to pick up my treasures.

Looks like we our knives both arrived on the same day, Q., only not in time for you to pick up yours, giving you the distinction of being the last to lay hands upon it.

With ACSB each knife looks totally different to me. But I am somewhat of a ACSB fanatic so I understand how others would think they all look basically the same. Kind of like how all fingerprints look the same to everyone but a fingerprint expert, I suppose. ::hmm::

Mahalo for posting yours, danno, and showing both the mark & pile sides ::tu:: I love looking at the ridge patterns and comparing the differences in coloration between all the knives.

I finally picked up my long-awaited and highly anticipated pkg from my PO a little while ago ::woot:: and will post photos of my knives when I get back home later today ::suspense:: (even if mine look the same as everyone else’s to everyone else!! )

It's not often I purchase a knife sight unseen fully knowing I'll have to wait about six months before I actually get it. It's not that I'm impatient, I just hate waiting ::huff:: And even though the waiting truly was the hardest part, I must admit it was 100% worth it for this year's club knife. ::nod::

As the member who waited the longest to get them, it is now my great honor to present the final two 2025 AAPK club knives to be delivered ::groove::

At long last, the wait is over ::ds::

The sturdy, securely taped box that traveled over land and sea, passed through numerous postal facilities, was handled by unknown numbers of hands and endured untold weather conditions to arrive undamaged and intact. Nothing short of a modern miracle!!
