My only Honk Falls. It was in this over polished condition when I purchased it. While I don't like knives that have been so polished, it is evident that in a past life it had been left to rust and then sharpen poorly.

Polished is better than scrapped!
It is still a fine old knife, and I am glad that it is in the hands of someone who appreciates it!

Great finds

This is my lates Honk Falls. I recently gained possession of some factory papers and a ledger. The file contains papers pertaining to the 1930-31 timeframe with some from as early as 1920. The ledger has bills paid and checks received from 1936-1941. There is information relating to Marbles, Ulster, Utica, Schrade and much more. Many of the questions about Honk Falls that I’ve been trying to track down are answered in these papers. Importantly they reveal that U J Ulery purchased the Napanoch name and intellectual property from Winchester in July 1920. About a year after winchester purchased Nap. Here is a pic of when J Cushner purchased the Nap name from Ulery. With this and other information I’ve been gathering about the origins of Napanoch (1900) I can put the whole story together. What’s interesting is the relationship between W R Case and knives being made for Sears and Robuck in 1902. Lots here but happy to share the history and help with any questions that I can.

Hello, I just came across this blade today that is stamped Napenoch NY and above it HFK Co... it was among a set of hand tools for some type of craft - leather or millinery perhaps. I had never heard of Napenoch before (I am in the UK) so looked it up and came across this thread. Is this blade of any interest or does the fact it is part of a handmade tool make it less interesting for collectors? Thanks.
