I like the blade on the Knife

Here's a plain old 6151 no lockback from the Bradford era in some nice Green bone handles that I just picked up.

Well.. I know this is not what the OP originally had in mid.. BUT.. Its GREEN!!!

Here is one that is seldom seen. A W R Case & Sons Greenbone 2 blade congress. 6288 1905-15. If anyone has any others I would love to see them. Tony Foster told me this is the only one he has ever seen. He has seen a lot of Case knives.

This thread has been like a St. Patricks day parade, but instead of watching green floats and leprechauns pass by there have been beautiful old green bone knives passing by. Thank you to Larry, Keith, Ken, Tom, Greg, Gary, and others for posting your beautiful knives.

My contribution has knives that are redundant with some posted earlier. The provenance of these Case Tested XX knives (6250, 6172, 61050) is interesting. They are pictured on the cover of Volume 3 of the Pocket Knife Traders Price Guide published by Jim Parker in 1997. I have the box for the 6172 however it is too fragile to display with the book & knives These were in Mr. Parker's collection. I wish I knew where to find the 8172 that is also pictured.

Evidently, the book itself is a bit of a collector's item, too. There is one listed on eBay for $142.

Jerry that is an outstanding piece of history. I hope you find that 8172! What a prize that would be.

Just got this one. I was at a local gun show and a nice older gentleman reached into his pocket and pulled it out. He knew what he had. We did some trading and I brought it home. Not pristine mint but not bad. Just a good honest old knife.

Greg & Larry, thank you for the gracious replies to my post. Larry I have a couple of your hand me downs in my collection so that should tell you who has better knives

bkazz, nice Tested Cokebottle 61050. The handles and shield don't show any wear.

All the beautiful greenery! My favorite color and am pretty sure favorite scale color. Sadly I have only one lonely greeny. It is a Mint Bulldog 3rd Generation Fighting Dogs 2 blade green jigged bone canoe. I exchanged working for my dad (bulldog nut) for this one. It is a keeper defiantly. Ill try and post a couple of pictures when I get the chance.
