Unless/until Case releases another 07W, it looks like this 2014 Antique Rattlesnake Bone 6207W will be the final addition to my mini trapper collection.

I was planning to stop when I reached 50 total, but I think 46 is enough for now. It's been quite a journey.

Q - wow, that's quite a collection !! The mini trapper wharnie's are one of my fave patterns too ... I really like the single blade 107w's - they are slimmer & I find easier to carry with dress pants.

I'm not limiting myself to just the Wharncliffe's and yet, I have less than half of your accumulation ~Q~. Oh well, it provides entertainment on an ongoing basis.

The Rough Riders are just a distraction in between Case 07's.

Jerry you had no way of knowing but there is probably only one Jester here. Doglegg is my handle but Floyd Jester is my name.

Seriously? The name on your birth certificate is "Floyd Jester"? That just sounds made up.

Birth certificate name. Never took any teasing growing up of course. Jester is my name and that's no joke.

The majority of my Mini Ts are Case 07s but not all of them. Here's an interesting group of MTs. Each knife was made by a different company (or under a different trademark name) and are all called "Mini Trappers" by their respective manufacturers. Generally they're pretty similar in size and characteristics but obviously not identical.

From Left to Right:
Parker-Edwards
Moore Maker
Case
Bear MGC
Rough Rider
Schatt & Morgan
Queen
Hen & Rooster

P5050006.JPG
Believe it or not, the best knife of the lot is the Series 1 Schatt & Morgan. Hands down the highest quality build by comparison. The Queen 51T is a close second. These two are living proof that Queen once made very fine cutlery.

Went over to the jewelers and picked up my grandson's graduation gift. He did a fine job. Now I hope my grandson likes it as much as I do.

Showed up yesterday.
Case 2014 6207WSS Mini Trapper - Open Mark Labeled.JPG

This Moore Maker is an 07 clone. No way of telling who it was actually made by. Queen did a lot of work for them but I suppose it could have been Case. Although the nail nick is in the wrong place for it to have been Case. ::shrug:: It also showed up yesterday.

I thought I had surely seen (and bought at least one of) every 107W version Case had ever released...but I was wrong. I discovered this Ducks Unlimited wood-handled model that somebody had stashed away. Fortunately, I was able to snag it. It's the only wood-handled Mini Trapper in my 07 collection...come to think of it, it's also the only wood-handled Mini T I've ever seen.

EDIT: Actually, I have seen another wood-handled Mini T...right here in this thread, in fact; jmh58's Antique River Log. Wouldn't mind seeing a few more photos of that one, John.

The seller actually called it a "Duck Dynasty" knife (nice try!), and I call it my "Wood Duck"...so, to each his own, I guess. I only know it is a "Ducks Unlimited" because I have seen other Case SFO's with the same logo shield that were called that.

Ducks Unlimited is an American nonprofit organization 501 dedicated to the conservation of wetlands and associated upland habitats for waterfowl, other wildlife, and people.

~Q~

PS Thanks for not bidding on it, John; although, to be honest, it would only have meant I would have had to pay more to win it. Not to sound arrogant, but, I pity the fool who bids against me on a Mini Trapper I have my sights set on...there is literally no price I won't pay to get a Mini T I am determined to own. Yes, it's true, I am hopelessly addicted when it comes to Case 107Ws.

Just when I had decided I had enough Mini Trappers, the 07 Gods, knowing my weakness for ivory, dangled this one in front of my nose to test my resolve. Of course I caved like a souffle on a surfboard. And the cycle of addiction continues; resistance is futile.

To the best of my knowledge, Yes...all the factory ivory Mini Ts I have ever seen are from a 1985 SFO. I do not know which Case dealer commissioned the SFO, but I suspect it may have been either Shepherd Hills or Blue Grass Cutlery (just a hunch). An original box would be helpful in that regard.

I know they were produced in at least three (3) different handle options: plain ivory and two scrimshawed designs -- Liberty Eagle & Paisley. This information is based solely on my personal observations, not exhaustive research; consequently, it could very well be incomplete, i.e., there may be other scrimshawed designs that I am as yet unaware of.

Here's the Paisley Scrimshawed version:

P8050356.JPG
The one thing they all have in common is the "IV" in the pattern number tang stamp on the secondary spay blade.
