I love SINGLE blade wharcliffe's ... the slim-ness of them really works nice for dress pants. They are hard to find especially in the Case versions ... anyways, here's my latest ...

John---just curious, is your 3107W SS or CV? I noticed that both steel options were available for this pattern with the yellow Delrin handle scales, which I thought was very cool of Case to do. Mine is CV, but it started spotting within a week (in storage) which is a big problem for me with the carbon steels where I live (I bought it before I realized there was a SS version available). I wish GEC would make more patterns with SS, or do runs of half SS and half 1095 just to give more options for people who mainly buy to collect (like me) and those who buy intending to use. Either way, the Wharncliffe Mini Trapper is a great little knife; my personal favorite Case pattern. Good score.

John, every one of my single blade wharncliffe mini trappers except for two: the Orvis & the EZ open antique bone with bomb shield and scrolled bolsters, was purchased on eBay. (See pg 14 of this thread for photo).

The reason you don't see them too often is because they tend to get snapped up pretty fast. You would think Case might take a hint and release more 107W models since it does seem to be a popular pattern.

If you're not talking about the EZ-Open Mini-Trapper single blade models, there are a bunch of the Carhartt version on eBay.

The 107W with Delrin handles doesn't seem to sell out as fast as those with bone & stag handles, although they tend to be quite a bit less expensive.

Here's my latest Wharncliffe acquisition: S&M White Bone Executive Jack #99 with no shield or blade etch.

CASE called that frame a "Seahorse". Does GEC call it a Wharncliffe? Great looking knives though

Schrade would call that frame a Wharncliffe. That confused me when I first started studying Schrades because you can have a Wharncliffe pattern with a clip blade.

AG Russell Wharncliffe Curved Regular Jacks. The Amber Bone is a factory second -- notice the little notch in the ricasso -- but for $37 I think I can accept a minor imperfection or two.

My favorite blade type is the Wharncliffe. From my collection these are my personal favorites.
Made by the Rigid Knife Company and Parker USA "Benchmade" series in the 1970's or 80's and have a modified Wharncliffe blade and a top-lock.
There maybe others with different handle material in this series, but I've never found documentation showing all the different types.

I just got the second large one a few weeks age.
Large size is 4.25 Closed
Small size is 3.25 Closed
