The "reclining lion" was also a trademark used by Carl Lutters.

I also have a small pearl handled knife stamped "Lion Cutlery, Warrented" that used the reclining lion.

Picked up a few knives at the Dalton Ga.show. 1st is a Maher & Grosh moose. An old one with deep stamped Maher & Grosh Razor Steel on the blade.Arch stamp with Toledo O.all in small letters which according to Pete Cohan is their oldest marking. It also has smooth bone handles and shields on both sides.

Great pearl knives, Beechtree and greedy, that lion etch is something special.

Beautiful knives, peanut. I really like the Challenge.

In my limited experience, I have never seen a Challenge with an intact blade etch.

Man those are nice! I love etches. Here are 2, are rare Cattaraugus Scout Junior and a Northfield large folding hunter.

More nice stamps and etches, but I am drawn to the Germania "Easy Opener" stamp.
