Big Monk...those stag handled Great Easterns are making me drool. I sure wish we had dealers up here in Canada so I could hold a few. My goal for 2013 is to buy a GE... I'll be going to a conference in Iowa (Davenport I think?) in September so I'll be bugging the folks on this forum familiar with that area to let me know where to go when I'm there. Thanks for posting...

Triple F, I love the knife. Did you make the lanyard? I would love to have one of those also.

Here's a few favorites from my knife roll. First is a large stag bulldog with the locking mechanism up near the blade. Second, is a Colonel Coon with more of a traditional locking mechanism. Third, is a Cargill with Bob's patented side lock mechanism. Fourth, is a Parker/Schrade trapper with a liner lock, and finally a Parker lockback whittler.

I ignored this thread because I'm not the number one fan of lockbacks and didn't really think I had much of anything to contribute. Got to thinking this morning (always a dangerous thing) and suddenly realized I have more lockbacks than I thought I did. So if you will permit me, I'd like to post these for your consideration.

Nothing special but they're mine.

Thanks Monk. As with most accumulators, they ended up in my pile for various reasons. A little over a third were gifts, one was in the POS roundtable, a few were purchased in my early years of accumulating and some were acquired because of the blade or as an impulse purchase. Only one was coveted, searched for and bought specifically because it put sparkling lights in my eyes. That would be the GEC 72 (A big ole thanks to James McLeod @ BladeForums).

Does a CASE TESTED 6001 Tri-Fold count? A slighty off beat lock back in my opinion, certainly not traditional but a lock blade knife nonetheless. What a simplistic design. Not backspring to break. Locks up solid. Some pretty damn nice bone too. One of my collection favorites.

Forgive me as I have posted this knife before in other threads but she sure is a beauty.

Haven't seen many posted here. Only 2 besides mine. Hard to find if at all, on the net. Really cool knife to handle to see/feel the action and lock.

Here is one of my CASE Cheetah/ pattern 11-1/2 drawers.

From left to right is XX thru 77'. The lengthwise knives at the bottom of the drawer are some rare examples. The 78' to 81' are in a seperate drawer. Posted most of these indiviually but here is a group pic.

Great lookin' lockbacks guys! I've got a couple I can toss into the mix here...

First off is a Bear MGC Rosewood Wharncliff Lockback (which is currently up on the trading block over in the trade section of the form... Next up is a Case mini copperlock in pocket worn natural bone... Followed by my camping and hiking companion, the light weight Gerber usa ez out skeleton lockback.. And lastly we have another Bear MGC lockback, which is a great little knife I break out around Christmas time...
