OK my keyboard warrior friends... I'm working on the new listing for the knife previously and wrongfully listed as Northfield... Comparing this tang stamp with others I've seen, I feel confident in calling it O.M.O.R.... What's the vote, would I be ok doing that? What about country of origin... I can't see OMOR to have been manufactured anywhere other than Japan. Should Country of Origin be shown as Japan.
Your advice will be appreciated.

Sounds like you are on the right track. The bone handles on the knife are a plus but it would be rated as having a low collector value. I would say 1950's to early 60's is a good ballpark for time of manufacture.

I'm thinking you can't go wrong with saying it's Japanese. I've got several of the Sabres that could very well be kin to it.

Yes, quite certain the handles are bone. This type of knife is often found with bone handles. The jigging is pretty distinctive.

Being a once-living material, bone has what is called Haversian canals, little dark spots where blood capillaries and nerves existed. They're usually visual with the naked eye or if not, with low magnification. Here’s an old post with more about how to tell, with examples
