Thanks, OC, gb, and dog! Yes, Herb did a fantastic job on the rehandle. And yes, I think if you're going to go with an acrylic or something similar, then Kirinite offers probably some of the best-looking choices in colors and patterns.

Very nice and cool looking pattern. It would be a joy
pulling that out of your pocket (maybe just to look at
it once and awhile too)

I was looking thru some pictures the other day and ran across this one that would qualify. It is a Keen Kutter stockman that had a previous "repair" when I picked it up for a couple of bucks. The pile side had a 2 color grafting of handle materials, and the mark side had been patched with JB Weld. Any of you who have asked about repairs done with JB Weld and what it would look like, here is the poster child for that. One of the nickel silver liners was broken, so after the knife was apart and cleaned up a new one was made and the handle material was replaced with coca bola.

Thanks Bob. Yep, if I'm carrying it and out in a restaurant I place it (or if I have another of my Kirinite liquid gold covered knives) on the table on top of my cell just so I can gaze at it occasionally during the meal.

A great save, OC! It cleaned up nicely and those new covers look sweet.
