9/14 knife acquisitions: a Wyoming skinner(may be a copy), a scrimshawed on both sides Parker el Diablo, and a BARLOW USA lockback with what looks like hand done rscrimshaw on both handles. Unsigned but well done. Twenty bux for the trio. Will post pics of the scrimshaw later.

Thought l was done acquiring this weekend umtil l visited the flea market today and in conversation with one of the vendors he showed me this one he found in an old tool box. For 2 bux l couldnt pass it up! I may just leave it as is. Wilbert cutlery coke bottle covered with paint and the initials H.E.S. carved into the ebony handle.

You ought to at least clean off the paint, sharpen it, and carry it!

A little rough, an old Marbles Woodcraft. Need to find a sheath and it’ll be a user! I had it professionally sharpened which cost more than the knife!

I received my very first Marble’s Safety Knife today. I’m in love with it. 4 1/8” from choil to tip.

Sorry for late reply, I missed this somehow. I used Obenauf’s Leather Oil on the handles. Once it was dry I then did a coat of renaissance wax on the entire knife. I’m not sure if it’s safe to store these in the leather sheaths but I figure the renwax will help.

Dilberry, welcome. I think I know how you feel. I found one about 3 weeks ago after wanting one for 45 years. I'm like a little kid with it. I made a sheath for it and I carry it around. They are special. Congratulations. J.O'.

Thank you! I’ve always been intrigued by this pattern. But the timing was never right. It finally lined up and I pulled the trigger. The stag, fit, and finish on it is just amazing.
