I've got this Elephant Toe I showed somewhere else not too long ago.
It fits in here.
Beautiful knife with the file work on the spring and blade, plus the others are very nice looking knives.
Good show.

Pretty nice piece
Saint Etienne had a time when they were big in those “bulldogs” or elephant toes

Thank you Knives-of-france, it's the first Elephant Toe I have seen from France but there is a lot I haven't seen.

It’s cattle horn. Pressed horn as it’s the lower/hollow part that is cut and pressed to make like a sheet.

They are pretty knives that I seldom see in person. As much as I would like to try one I find the prices prohibitive.

A good indication of the true cost of a product made in a country where workers are fairly compensated for their labor.

I've posted somewhere 2 other knives I received from the K-o-F website, but these 4 came from eBay!
I don't recall their names or particulars, but perhaps our host of this thread might supply that information!

My sister and brother-in-law got me this Douk-Douk on their recent trip to France; picked it up at Mont Saint Michel. It came in a nice wood box with slide-top lid. It's huge! But I suppose that's only appropriate for a knife bearing the likeness of the god of chaos and doom.

The 1st one is a gutter knife (gouttière)
The 2nd I have no idea
The 3rd is an Aurillac
The 4th is a Thiers by Coursolle with the hunter in the handle (I only have the plain in stock. Knife Thoughts just put out a video on this one)
The last one is a Vendetta
