Here's another archive photo of one of my earlier hodge-podge Case (and one GEC) collections when I was grabbing pretty much anything and everything that appealed to me without any particular theme...just knives I happened to like at the time. Heady days those were!
I no longer own any of these knives; they've all been sold, traded or given away. The ones I regret letting go of the most are the Cheetah Cubs.

I am curious about the fixed blade knives in leather sheaths. I've learned the hard way that that is not a good idea, at least here in Hawaii where I live, because the leather holds moisture that corrodes the knife steel. Is that not an issue where you live, knife7, or do you store your collections in some kind of climate controlled environment?
That display of Scandi knives is a work-in-progress. For some reason, I have noticed that Scandinavian sheaths don't have the problems others do. It may be due to what they use to process the leather.
I live in southern Michigan where temps flucuate wildly. Many of my knives are stored in the basement. All containers have dessicant bags that are changed regularly(knives inspected at the same time).there is a de-humidifier that runs constantly also.
Upstairs, knives are stored out of direct sunlight & temp is a constant 65 degrees F.

Brilliant idea Q, like everything I've seen so far. I cant say it better than Olde Cutler. I'm all over the place. But I have to say I look over the GECs whenever I see 'em, can't resist. Also look at anything knife pretty much, so ya know. Couple group shots and to be continued.

This is a neat group with an interesting explanation. See if you can keep this all straight.
3 original knives for Tuna Valley Cutlery, made by Great Eastern Cutlery, as an SFO for Spaceport Cutlery in 2010. When Mr. Miller died, the leftover stock was purchased by Daniels Family Knives, who then owned Queen Cutlery. The bolsters were modified to differentiate from the originals, then they were sold. The dimpled bolsters were done by Painted Pony Knives and the engraved bolsters were done by Oiseau Metal Arts.
There will be a quiz, study hard.

haha just think of how far they have moved around the country between manufacturing, re-modifying, shipping to dealers, shipping to customers, etc.

In 1988, I had two Strawberry Bone Robeson pocketknives that I had accumulated as a boy, going gun trading with my dad.
So, I started buying more and ended up with over three hundred fifty knives.
The Robesons have either been passed on to others or are for sale now, but a subset of that Robeson collection was Terrier pocketknives made by Robeson from 1910 to 1916 and possibly a bit later, as knives have turned up with spun rivets, a process that came about later.
This photo is not complete, as I have added a handful of knives and a pair of scissors since it was made.
Terriers are difficult to find.

Wonderful display. I enjoy the look of them, you can tell they are from a different era that can't be replicated by modern factories.

I like your story Charlie and you always have the finest examples! Your Terrier collection is magnificent!! My most special knife came from you! The little pearl Robeson Barlow you gifted me a few years back. It resides separately from my others in a little box wrapped in a handkerchief! Thank you for showing your collection of Terriers. Here are some from my archives. I mess around with arranging knives in groups for photos, I did more a few years back than I do now. I’ve sold many of these knives. That last one was a screen saver shot of mine for years. Love those folding hunters with release on the pin blade. I sold the Weidmannsheil knives and still have the Cattaraugus Cutlery knives. One of my favorite patterns.

Thank you. Unfortunately (for me) they have all been moved to new homes. It's not all bad. I have the memories and the knives live on with other collectors.
