Can you tell me what the shield on that Catt says or can you post a bigger photo? I tried, but I cannot get the picture showing the shield to enlarge when I click on it.

Similar to Remington putting an acorn shield on punch knives, I think it was Catt that used the round disc shield on some of their punch knives!!?? Am I right about that??

i checked several catt. books and their were round and other(about equal) shaped shields used on the punch bladed catts. ::shrug:: not as consistant as remington.

I guess from the years of use the writing has been rubed off.

Can any one tell me where I can find more info about this knife as far as a web site?

Is this the knife you all have been waiting for!!! This is a Harness Jack made by New York Knife Co. for Camillus!!! This is the 1st one for me, what you all think?? Knife is all original and in uncleaned condition. I checked the inside liners for extra holes, there are not any, and the inside backspring where the kick marks the backspring there is only one mark, if blades were changed there would be more kick marks on the backspring, also note the neat shield(common on NYK) and brass pins with steel pins placement(also common on NYK knives). Nice looking harrison punch. Hopefully more of these will show up in the future. Thx Mark

I call these Ulster style gouges because most of them were made there.
They will serve as a leather punch, or a whittling gouge in soft wood, but must be used carefully!
