I’ve about give up on looking for knives on eBay. Most of them are going for well over what I’m willing/can afford to pay. Plus I have multiples of most of my favorites anyway.

But it’s not pocket knives only. Firearms, of course, are crazy high now. And firearms parts….some of them are selling on eBay for more than you can buy them for from the manufacturer.

People have lost their ever loving minds.

I buy most of my knives right here at AAPK or at a table where I can paw the knife 1st hand. I bid on E bay but generall I am a low baller, so to speak. however in the past week I did get a couple of what I consider good buys. A super little PAL trout knife and an immaculate S&M file & Wire toothpick. neither were steals but not too bad. But Im all spent out for now!

Yep.. I just shipped four out in the last 24 hrs… have to sell some to keep on buying! Can’t afford to keep them all ::shrug::

I do the same thing. I sell the ones that no longer give me that warm, fuzzy feeling. I enjoy the "Buy, Sell, and Trade" aspect of this hobby. It allows me to buy a little more freely knowing that I can sell it for a minimal loss if it's not my cup of tea. Then buy another one and cycle goes on.

I consider any loss I might take as the cost of renting the knife for the time that I had it.

No joy on this one… someone was willing to pay more than I was :|

Happens about half the time, it seems. If I won them all that would mean I’m probably paying too much.

Congratulations on that win!

I placed the winning bid on this Victorinox Pocket Pal with no time to spare. A fellow SAK fan in Switzerland has told me this shield is less common. Pictures are from the listing, of course.

Some nice ones posted here - good luck, guys!
I’m not bidding on anything, but I am watching a couple that are listed for ridiculously high prices just to see if they sell for that!

Just thought I’d pass along this funny...
Some dude on EBay has a pretty stiff price on a Remington bullet repro from the 1990s, $100 - but the kicker is that shipping is also $100! ::dang:: ::facepalm::

Ok, in all fairness, I contacted the seller and just heard back from him. Yes, he did make a mistake! Wouldn’t it have been REAL funny, though, if someone had gone for it while this shipping was that high!
