I feelworse now about missin out on the roundtable, I don't know how you guys feel but I think that each knife is a small piece of artwork in itself and there is some very nice art being sent around.

Glad you like it Keith - it was fun to complete.
Just so that you can associate a story with that knife, I'll tell you how it ended up in my hands. My father was a big auction sale fan. I know that he bought a whole box of junk, just to get this knife, then he put it in his drawer and never used it. I found it when I was going thru his estate items - thought it would be a nice one to fix up. It had not been sharpened before I sharpened it. I added half stops as well as the birds eye scales and spacer material.
Here's the before and after shots for your files.

I guess I better go ahead and post my spoils because my picture taker keeps putting me off. A picture is worth a lot of words and this knife truly deserves a picture instead of just a few words from me. I WILL still post a picture as soon as I can.
Mawd1949 sent me an ABSOLUTELY beautiful STAG Sargent canoe!!

Its a WW2 commemorative. That's all I'll say for right now and let the picture tell the rest.
I was shocked when I opened this knife up. It has some of the nicest stag you will ever see on a knife and TIGHT as a tick on a dog's leg. He couldn't have picked a better knife for me. Not only did I not own a Sargent, I had never heard of them until that knife. He sent me some info along with the knife and I'm still researching and learning about the company. So a BIG OLE THANK YOU MAWD1949!!

Glad you like the sodbuster Jaye, those handles are green canvas micarta, stuff is almost indestructible. I think it was 1979 though it should have a dot underneath the stamp.

Got mine yesterday from Cope and
It's a Boker 5474 Large Congress Stag knife. 4 1/8" closed. Carbon steel blades. Stag handles with nickel silver bolsters.
You couldn't have chosen better Brad. I had just recently traded my only
Boker Congress off. This one has great Stag and snaps like a turtle. Thanks.
